October 8, 2018 Farmville Police Department Police Activity Log October 8 October 14, 2018 RESPONDED TO: 8:30 am Walmart to check a tractor trailer that was left there by a local driver. Owner was out of NC. Vehicle was secure but unable to make contact with driver. Owner was advised of options. 11:11 am Callaway Ln for a report of the theft of a chain saw. Chain saw was returned. Complainant did not want to pursue charges. Report made. 11:14 am High Bridge Parking lot on E Osborn Rd for a vehicle parked blocking the entrance. Unfounded. 12:16 pm Officers, Fire, and EMS responded to S Main St for a 3 vehicle accident with injuries and road blockage. FR 300 completed. 2:08 pm Police department to talk a report of a hit and run that happened a few days ago at McDonald s. Report made. 7:00 pm W Third St for a report of a male subject who was not supposed to be there. Suspect in question was not trespassed but was not located either. Unfounded. 10:58 pm Parkview Dr for a welfare check on a child at the request of the father. Child and Mother was ok. Assist made. 11:10 pm Located a suspicious vehicle at the Valero on S Main St. Suspect was homeless but was not doing anything wrong. No report made. October 9, 2018 2:03 am N Main St for a vehicle parked with its hazard lights on. Everything was ok with vehicle. Assist made. 4:00 am Layne St for a female who had walked away from the home wanting to harm herself. Subject was located and an ECO was Page 1 of 6

issued. Call is still pending. 8:49 am Farmville Motor Sports for parts that were stolen last week. Report made. 9:55 am Probation and Parole for a wanted subject. Arrest made. 10:36 am Food Lion for a woman asking for money, food, and a ride. Unfounded. 10:37 am Piedmont Court Services for a wanted subject. Warrant served. 11:16 am Town Motel to assist social services with notifying everyone that the motel was being condemned. No issues with occupants occurred. Assist made. 1:46 pm ICA for a report of vandalism to a van. Report made. 3:07 pm High St for a welfare check of an elder female at the request of her child. She was fine and would contact her child. 5:38 pm Wendy s for a report of harassment where a female came into the business harassing the complainant about turning her son in at Burger King. Advice given. 5:45 pm Sanford St for a report of juveniles laying the road. Children were located and doing some type of military exercises. Assist made. 6:35 pm Hylawn Ave a verbal domestic issue over property in a home. Officers helped resolve the issue. Assist made. 8:07 pm ICA for a wanted subject. Arrest made. 9:59 pm Applebee s for report of 2 subject drinking excessively that were going to leave possibly driving. One of the subjects was sober enough to drive. Assist made. 11:45 pm Located an accident on S Main St. Vehicles were moved in the parking lot with no injuries. Other report made. October 10, 2018 2:44 am Located a suspicious vehicle on Creekwood Trail. Subject had parked there to nap. No report made. 11:41 am Callaway Lane for a report of a white male walking around the Page 2 of 6

park intoxicated. Subject went back into his residence, no further action taken. 12:22 am Completed a welfare check in the 500 block of Hylawn Avenue. It was reported that an elderly female had cut her hand and blood was all over the residence. Female was fine, no injury to hand. 12:23 pm Took a report of metal rods stolen from a residence on First Avenue. 4:19 pm Hylawn Avenue for a report of a male refusing to leave. Male agreed to leave. 6:35 pm Received a report from a female reporting that she felt like a tall white male carrying a black backpack was following her earlier in Wal-Mart. Report taken, call was not in progress when the female made the report. 7:37 pm ICA for warrant service. Arrest made. October 11, 2018 10:03 am Breaking and entering that had occurred in which a shop vac was stolen in the 200 block of Callaway Lane. Report made, under investigation 10:52 am Served a warrant on a subject at the Town Motel for trespassing at McDonald s. Arrest made. 11:06 am Report of a disabled vehicle in the area of 400 E Third St. Unable to locate. 1:11 pm Served a warrant at Probation and Parole for a subject that had outstanding warrants out of Virginia Beach. Arrest made 1:16 pm Assisted an elderly female that was locked out of her residence 500 block of First Ave. Assist made 3:49 pm Burglar alarm in the 200 block of Northview Drive. False Alarm 4:48 pm Assisted with an ECO at the hospital. 5:21 pm 800 block of Bizzarre St for a tree that had fallen on a house. Assist made, everyone was safe. 5:32 pm 1500 block of Lee Drive for a tree that had fallen on a house. Page 3 of 6

Assist made, everyone was safe. 5:39 pm Assisted with a disabled vehicle on Fourth St. Assistance rendered. 5:41 pm Assisted with a water rescue in the municipal lot behind the Courthouse for a subject that was stranded in their vehicle. Assistance rendered. 7:21 pm Responded to Advance America for a burglar alarm. False alarm 8:09 pm Assisted with an elderly male that was stuck in his lift chair 1000 Seventh Ave. Assistance Rendered 8:59 pm 100 block of Jesse s Way for a burglar alarm. False alarm. 10:53 pm Loud noise complaint 400 block of Buffalo St. Warning given. 11:21 pm Walmart reference to the front doors of the business open. Officers walked thru the business with manager everything okay. October 12, 201 12:41 am Assisted an elderly female starting her generator 1700 block of S Main St. Assist made 11:21 am Welfare check on Irving St for a mother who had no spoken to her son since the power went out. Son was fine, just did not have power to call. Mother notified. 1:02 pm Doswell St for a subject causing problems that did not live there. Assist made. 1:17 pm Officers and EMS responded to Peery Dr for an accident with injuries. FR 300 report completed. 1:36 pm Hylawn Ave for a verbal disputed. One of the subjects involved was an elderly female with mental health problems. She was served a medical TDO. 1:59 pm McDonald s for a report of a child being abuse in a car. Officers checked the area for the vehicle described. Unable to locate. 3:32 pm Officers and EMS responded to Arby s for an accident with injuries. One patient was flown out. Report made. Page 4 of 6

3:59 pm Hit and run at Walmart. Suspect vehicle was located. Other report made. 5:05 pm Farmville Motel for an attempt to locate from Prince Edward Co Sheriff s Office. Suspect was not located. 8:02 pm Farmville Motel for a welfare check from DCS out of Florida making sure people who travelled there where safe. Contact was made and they were fine. DCS notified. 8:59 pm Peery Dr for a loud noise complaint for music from a vehicle. Unable to locate any vehicles playing loud music. October 13, 2018 12:37 am 1600 block of High St for a loud noise complaint. Caller could not be sure, but thought it was coming from a vehicle. Officers checked the area and were unable to hear anything. 8:27 am Town Motel for a B&E into the office area where items were stolen. Report made. 9:06 am Officers and Fire responded to a vehicle on fire on E Third St. Fire extinguished. 11:06 am Keepsake Storage for a storage unit that was broken into and items were taken. Report made. 2:12 pm Piedmont Regional Jail to serve warrants on two inmates incarcerated there. 2:18 pm Hibbett Sports for a possible shoplifter. No crime had been committed, but the female is suspected of shoplifting in the past. Management could not provide any proof of theft. Advice given to management. Suspect identified. 2:19 pm EMS responded to KFC for an accident with injuries. One transported. FR 300 form completed. 2:58 pm Emergency room to serve an ECO. Patient would go voluntarily. Assist made. 6:18 pm Dollar Bill s for a burglar alarm activation. Keyholder arrived to check the area. Alarm was an accidental activation. Page 5 of 6

7:14 pm Town Motel for a verbal argument. Male and female were separated and told to stay in their rooms. While on scene, a fight broke out in front of officers. Victim did not want to press charges and was removed from the property. 9:44 pm Buffalo St for a child locked in a car. Entry gained and child was fine. 10:59 pm Belmont Circle for a possible B&E. Everything is secure. No sign of attempted entry. October 14, 2018 1:16 am Park Ave for a verbal dispute. A group of people were told to leave a party and were upset. They left the property without issue. No report made. 4:13 am Sunchase Blvd for a noise complainant of children being loud in the apartment above caller. Warning given. 8:14 am Hampton Inn for a report of vandalism to one of the rooms. Advice given, subjects had left the scene. 12:05 pm Welfare check, female not answering her phone on Fifth Ave. Female was fine. 12:12 pm Walmart for a report of an accident in the parking lot. Report made. 1:46 pm advised of a female in the Dollar Tree parking lot trying to get into vehicles. Subjects 2:20 pm Advised of an intoxicated male with a knife threatening a female at the Town Motel. Arrest made. 7:06 pm Town Motel for a male on the property trespassing.
