WHAT TO BRING (YEAH) Remember to Label Everything! *Bible w/ pen or pencil *Prescription & over-the-counter medications that you are currently taking *Sleeping bag & pillow (sheets & blanket, etc.) *Toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothbrush & paste, deodorant...you know the drill!) *Girls need to bring sanitary items. If a need arises, items are available for purchase. *Comfortable clothes. (Cool evenings) *Tennis shoes, flip-flops, water shoes. *Swimsuit (one piece), sunscreen, & beach towel *Plastic bag for wet items *Flashlight *Bug repellant *Raingear, just in case! *Stationary, postcards, stamps, etc. *Extra spending money to put on a canteen card (Canteen cards are not refundable at the end of the week. Unused portions of cards are considered a donation to our summer camp scholarship fund.) You can also bring *Camera *Fishing poles, baseball glove, etc. *Alarm clock
WHAT NOT TO BRING (NAY) *CD players, MP3, IPOD, & cell phones, *Hand held electronic games. *Weapons of any kind (knives, guns, etc.) *Over-the-counter medications in the dorm room. (The nurse will hold any needed medicines for you.) Unplug and enjoy God s creation! COMINGS... CHECK-IN: Upon arrival to camp, please register in the upstairs Lodge between 4:30-6p. Proceed to the alphabetical lines to receive your dorm room, group, and counselor assignment. Balances due will be collected at this time along with any additional spending money you wish to have at camp. NURSE CHECK-IN: Leave any medications with the nurse who will oversee the daily dosage requirement. You may also discuss any concerns for your child with the nurse at this time. Please review our health history form for over-the-counter medicine guidelines. Camp licensing requires that all medications be in their original container, be prescribed for the camper, and include clear and current directions. DORM: Parents will accompany the camper to their cabin to meet the counselor and sign in camper in dorm room. and GOINGS! DEPARTURE: At Dorm: All parents will need to sign out their children at the dorm room on Friday. Pick up time is between 3-5 p.m. The nurse will release any medications at the camp exit upon departure.

Attica, MI 48412 DROP OFF: Save Postage by dropping letters in our box at registration. Please indicate on the envelope the camper s name & which day you would like it delivered. The camp office will also accept letters 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Additional Notes on mail: *Please limit Email correspondence to a maximum of 2p/day. Send by 10:00 a.m. for current day delivery. *Campers do not have access to a computer to respond to email messages. *All mail received after departure will be shredded. *As you write, please focus on your child s camp experience instead of what is happening at home in order to help avoid creating homesickness. DRESS CODE YEAH: Clothing that is modest in nature, such as, *Tops with shoulders that are at least four fingers in width. Tops should be long enough to be tucked in. *Tops for young ladies that do not reveal cleavage. *Shorts and Skirts that are below the fingertips when standing straight, arms to the side. *One Piece swimsuits & shorts and T-shirt over bathing suit when outside the waterfront area.
NAY: Clothing that is less modest in nature, such as, *Halter Tops, Sundresses, Bare midriff tops, athletic shirts, cut-off t- shirts, strapless tops, spaghetti strap tops, or tank tops. Tops that reveal cleavage. *Pants/sweatpants or shorts with wording on the buttocks. Yoga Pants. *Two piece swimsuits (The tank-ini style that shows no mid-drift is welcome) *Shirts, hats, pants, or other clothing with inappropriate messages for alcohol, tobacco products, profanity, sexual references or drugs. MCYC staff will enforce the dress code. Continued issues with a camper s dress can lead to dismissal from camp. Visitors (Yeah) We welcome visitation from parents during the week. All visitors must sign in and out at the camp office located in the lodge. Photo ID will be requested to verify identity. Only authorized visitors (those noted at check in) will be allowed to visit with a camper. Lost and Found (Nay) *MCYC is not responsible for items left behind, lost, or stolen. Any lost and found items not claimed after 7 days are donated to a charitable organization. *Due to the excessive cost of shipping (and the number of items that tend to get lost) we are unable to mail lost items. We are willing to make arrangements at the cost of the camper family to return items if necessary. *HINTS TO REDUCE RISK OF LOSING ITEMS: *Label all items with camper s first and last name. *Check the lodge porch before you leave camp. *Send old stuff to camp...just in case!
