Note for Ijen blue fire tours: If the weather is good enough and you are interested, you can visit Ijen crater at night time which will be started from your hotel / accommodation in Ijen area around at 00:30 am to do Ijen blue fire tours. The blue fire is ignited sulphuric gas, which emerges from cracks at temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius (1,112 degrees Fahrenheit). Those gases are directly originated from the magmatic chamber under the volcano. The flames can be up to 5 meters high; some of the gas condenses to liquid and is still ignited. It is the largest blue flame area in the world and one of the purest sulfur mines.
