why choose a Stanley? Over 350,000 Irish households have already said yes to the control, efficiency and comfort that comes as standard with a Stanley stove or range cooker. save money everyday Three times more efficient than a traditional open fireplace, a Stanley stove is the affordable and stylish way to reduce your home heating costs. With class leading fuel efficiencies of up to 80%, a Stanley stove simply produces more heat from less fuel helping you stretch your fuel budget further. take control of your home heating You ll love the freedom and control that a Stanley stove provides. Packed with features for finger-tip control of your heating, a Stanley stove is the flexible way to heat your home using a wide range of solid fuels including wood, coal and briquettes. Say hello to more control and good-bye to high home heating bills forever. prepared for any weather If the last few years have taught us anything, it is that we all need to be prepared for whatever the weather may bring us. Come hail, rain or shine, your Stanley stove will be there for you; providing controllable, efficient heat when you need it. a name to trust As Ireland s leading stove company, every single stove that bears the Stanley name is designed to the highest standards and built to last. Our Stanley retailers are on hand to help you choose the right stove for your home. The Stanley Customer Service Team is always on hand to provide expert advice on spare parts availability and after sales support on your stove. 5 6 advanced features for total control 1 Clean Burn Technology controls air flow in the stove firebox to maximise efficiency. 1 2 High Chromium Grates withstand higher firebox temperatures for a longer lifespan. 3 Cast Iron Build holds and radiates heat, giving an even temperature once the stove is lighting. 2 4 4 Dual Position Grates burn wood logs or smokeless fuels with equal efficiency. (Lismore only) 3 5 Superior Grade Enamel gives a high gloss finish with longer lasting shine. 6 Thermostatic Controls control the burn rate based on the temperature of the boiler. optional extras for superior performance External air feed is available for many of our stoves as an optional extra. External Air is used in well-insulated houses for mechanical ventilation, and directs air from the outside into the stove to aid efficient combustion. feel the warmth 5

all the benefits of an open fire in a Stanley stove Your fire, there s nothing like it the central focus of your living room. But an open fire is inefficient, draughty and time consuming to maintain. A Stanley stove gives you all the warmth and comfort of a open fire in a clean and stylish way that s THREE times more efficient. Our stoves come in a range of sizes, colours and outputs so you can replace your open fire, gas fire or replace an existing back boiler. Inefficient open fire More fuel Cold drafts Harder to clean 70% of heat from your fire goes up the chimney, only 30% stays in the room. Lower efficiency means more refuelling. Once the fire is out, the heat is gone. Overnight burning is not an option. An open fireplace creates draughts that draw warm air out of your room. More fuel means more cleaning. VS Efficient Stanley stove Less fuel More control Easy to clean 70% of heat stays in the room. Less fuel required as there is a more efficient burn rate. Radiates heat into the room after the fire dies down. Suitable for overnight burning by refuelling and closing the air controls there will still be heat in your stove in the morning. Even unlit the stove seals the chimney opening preventing draughts. Easier to clean produces less ash and comes with an ashpan. 6 feel the warmth

did you know you can switch from a gas fire to an efficient Stanley stove? Many Stanley customers have made the switch from a gas fire to a solid fuel stove they tell us they cannot believe the warmth, comfort and natural heat from a Stanley stove. To start the conversion you need to have either a chimney or an external wall to install your stove. A registered gas installer will disconnect the gas supply to the fire and remove it, we would also recommend that your chimney is inspected and any required cleaning or repair work is carried out. 3 reasons to change 1 2 3 Improve the efficiency of your home by installing a Stanley stove Enjoy a different ambient heat in your room Add atmosphere to your room feel the warmth 7

For such a small stove the Oisin provides a huge amount of heat. We use a combination of coal and logs to get the best heat from the stove feel the warmth of a Stanley stove Over 300,000 Irish homes have chosen a Stanley stove or range cooker, here are some of their stories. To see more Stanley Stories visit www.waterfordstanley.com/news-media/stanley-stories When I went to see it in the shop they had one fitted in a fireplace and that was it, my mind was made up; if I couldn t have the Cara Insert I didn t want anything else! We estimate that we are burning about two thirds less fuel than we did last year when we had the open fire, said Lauren and it means spending time in this room with the Aoife lighting is a really cosy place to be. 20 feel the warmth

It brings real warmth and energy to the room. It s difficult to heat this room as it has a double height ceiling but it now feels cosy. We would definitely recommend it. The Cara Insert suits the traditional style of our living room and fireplace. Open fires are wasteful of energy and impact negatively on the energy rating. As our home was a new build we were advised that open fires were a no-no. It was recommended by a friend but to be honest I really wanted a stove. It s a no brainer and Stanley are one of the best makes on the market. We chose the Lismore as we liked the look of it. We also love its controllability and safety. feel the warmth 21

Aoife The Aoife s neat size suits urban living and is powerful enough to heat open-plan rooms. If the mantelpiece protrudes further than 100mm from the fireplace, then it will be necessary to have further clearance to the top of the stove. The distance the mantle protrudes past the 100mm should be added to the clearance. For example, if the mantle protrudes 200mm, the clearance to the mantle should be 650mm. feel the warmth 29

a proud tradition Stanley has been bringing warmth and comfort to homes for generations, stretching back to when the first range cooker was made in Waterford in 1936. Allied Ironfounders were the leading foundry company of the day. It owned sites in Larbert, Scotland, Coalbrookdale and Telford, England, together with the Waterford site. Stanley cookers were made alongside Rayburn cookers in Waterford until the 1950 s. Did you know? Stanley s first factory in Waterford was set up in 1936 by Allied Ironfounders, the predecessor company to AGA, as a sister facility to its foundry in Larbert, Scotland. In the 1960 s the Waterford site was sold and evolved through the decades to become Waterford Stanley in the early 1980 s. In 2005 Waterford Stanley was acquired by the AGA Rangemaster Group, once again reuniting the AGA, Rayburn, Falcon and Stanley families.
