ORAL SESSIONS Plenary session presentations will take place in the Auditory of Torrent. Each speaker is assigned 20 minutes including a brief discussion. Session chairs will make sure the schedule is respected, please contact them before your session. Bring along your slide show on a pen drive under PowerPoint format exclusively and hand it to the technician before the beginning of the session (Guillem and Yves). POSTER SESSIONS The Poster Sessions will be from Monday 27 th to Thursday 30 th of September from 12h00 to 13h30 For each poster abstract one poster board in portrait format is reserved, we would like to remind you that the posters should approximate be 90 cm wide and 120 cm height. All the material necessary for attaching the poster to the poster board will be available at the Poster Room. Authors are requested to mount their posters between 09:00 and 11:00 and remove them before 18:00 on the day of their scheduled poster session. Posters not removed by 18:15 will be disposed of. Authors are invited to be on stand by close to their posters during the poster sessions. Please, don t hesitate to contact us (sobrino@uv.es) if you have any doubt. BREAKS Coffe breaks will be served for all the participants in the main hall of the Auditori. Lunch breaks will be from Monday to Thursday, from 13:30 to 15:00. A lunch will be served to the participants in the Restaurant El Sol, near the Conference Hall (Calle del Sol, 17). A lunch ticket must be given to the staff of the Restaurant every day. The tickets will be provided at registration. Additional lunch tickets (20 ) can be bought at the Reception Desk. Friday some refreshments and snacks will be served from 12:30 to 13:30 in the main hall. The own Bar service of the Auditori is not included in the Symposium fees and must be paid CONFERENCE SOCIAL EVENTS Conference social events will be offered to all the participants and accompanying persons. Monday 27 th September: a Welcome cocktail will be offered in front of the main entrance from 19:00 to 21:00. Tuesday 28 th September: a Dinner (big paella) will be offered in front of the main entrance from 19:00 followed by a Musical Event. Thursday 30 th September: the Gala Dinner will be offered at 20:30 in La Hipica (Calle Jaca, 23, Valencia 39º29.01 N, 0º21.98 W www.lahipica.com). Please confirm your departure day to the Reception desk. Additional tickets for the conference social events can be bought at the reception desk.
ACCESS TO THE VENUE i) FREE BUS SERVICE MONDAY 25 TH SEPTEMBER : As you probably know from the timetable the registration starts at 8 AM. The organizing committee would be grateful if you could register before the opening session at 9:30 AM. With this aim a free bus service will be assured from the hotels recommended by the organization (NH CENTER and SH INGLES) and from La Lonja de Valencia (Plaza del Mercado 39º28.45 N, 0º22.71 W) for those who stay at the Hall of Residence Rector Pesset. Participants staying in other hotels should go to the aforementioned areas to catch the free bus service. The timetable of the buses from the Hotels to the Auditori in Torrent will be the following: 7:50 h: Two buses from NH CENTER to the Auditori in Torrent. The second bus will departure from the hotel once the first bus is complete. 7:50 h: Bus from SH INGLES, this bus will arrive to La Lonja 10 minutes after to pick up the people that is in the Rector Peset University residence and continue to the Auditori. (Everyday this will be the route of this bus). ii) UNDERGROUND: Valencia underground lines 1 and 5 assure a frequent communication between Valencia and Torrent. Download underground network map at http://www.metrovalencia.com/metroval/htmleng/home/home.asp In Torrent there are 2 underground stations, please get off in the TORRENT AVINGUDA station. This is 800 m from the Auditorium. There is a frequent public bus service between this station and the Auditorium, line 2 (Red) and line 3 (Blue). The bus stop are located at the exit of the station (Red Line, from Font Granotes to Auditori A ; Blue line, from San Valerià to Auditori A ) iii) BY CAR: There is a road between Valencia and Torrent, parking is freely available by the Auditorium. ACCESS TO THE HOTELS The airport is situated 8 km. west of the city of Valencia. There is a frequent bus service from the terminal to the city centre and taxi service. Information phone: 34 961 59 85 00 Airport website: www.aena.es i) Metro There are two underground lines which link the airport, the city centre and the port: the line 3 (Rafelbunyol Aeroport) and the line 5 (Marítim Serrería Torrent Av. / Aeroport). The station is at the ground floor of the regional flights terminal. The journey takes around 25 minutes. Stops: Airport departures Avenida del Cid (opposite to Local Police Office) Calle Bailen Calle Angel Guimera (next to Calle Juan Llorens) Avenida del Cid Airport departures. Timetable: From 6.00 to 22.00. Every 20 minutes. Price: 2.5. iii) Taxi Stops: opposite arrivals. Price: From the airport to the city centre is approximately 14. Airport Supplement, 3.5. Minimum fee: 1.20 (6:00am to 10:00pm), 1.50 (10:00pm to 6:00am). Minimum charge: 2.95 (6:00am to 10:00pm), 4 (10:00pm to 6:00am). Per km: 0.73 (rate 1); 0.84 (rate 2); 0.93 (rate 3).
