June 14 Get Outdoors Day: Greg, Rick, Tyler (5 hours cross cutting!) o So fun & a lot of work o o Liz 6-12 volunteer sign ups Rick only time more tired working for this group was on one of Kim s death marches Every kid wanted their own round (one kid & one sawyer working together on each saw), so they sawed all day Kids were very enthusiastic o Next year have some precut rounds and maybe a brand (or stamp) for the PCT 4. June 17 Mt Adams South: Gentleman Bob/Greg Mikol o Logged out to the springs o Saturday try to do the rest (springs to meadows) 6. June 26: Timberline South scouting: Ron o Another work party planned o 2 really unusual spots: 3 trees teepee d across about 15 feet above the trail where they met o 28 trees down, only 1 is green the rest are silver fir and rotten at the bottom o One 6 feet off the ground o The hotshots out of Zig Zag did these ones McKenzie was on it o In the sandy spot, going to Timberline, water washed a lot of sand out, this will have to be put back o There is another spot where Salmon River is moving closer to the trail (wash out), will have to look at moving the trail over 11. These are the routed signs that indicate names of side-trails, thus making them distinct from the PCT itself. Please note, we don't always place signs at each junction

that say <--Pacific Crest Trail -->, because that's what reassurance markers are for. However, we do make exceptions if you think there's a particularly confusing junction. o Dana sent this email Wanted these submitted by mid-july If you have a junction that needs a sign, send Dana all the info/picture of what you need Rockers for other than sawyer looking into it Special Considerations for crews, such as non-smoking, no alcohol o You can do this but you have to announce it when you request the work party volunteers Round the Room Kim Rick Becky Tim L.
