GENERAL INFORMATION THE LATIN AMERICAN CONFERENCES ON RUBBER TECHNOLOGY XIII Latin American Conference on Rubber Technology have been organized for over 20 years. Every new edition of this event includes multiple conferences, workshops and business presentations. This is the most important event in Latin America to develop new business opportunities for the rubber industry. This event offers opportunities to exchange information about the latest trends in the rubber industry with industry leaders, to make contacts, meet potential clients and partners, and visibility and positioning of your brand in new markets. DATE AND PLACE At the last edition in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Guatemala was elected to be the next destination, to encourage the participation of more countries in Latin America and North America, and mainly because Guatemala s leadership in the production of high quality natural rubber. HOTEL VENUE The event is going to take place at the most recognized hotel museum in Antigua Guatemala, Casa Santo Domingo Hotel. It offers 128 rooms, each with its own unique and special characteristics. The decor includes works of art from renowned Guatemalan artists and handmade textiles featuring traditional-contemporary designs. The event will take place from November 23rd to 27th 2015, at Casa Santo Domingo Hotel, Antigua Guatemala, years before recognized as the capital of the Captaincy-General of Guatemala, founded in the early 16th century. Antigua Guatemala was largely destroyed by an earthquake in 1773 but its principal monuments are still preserved as ruins. Finally in 1965 was included in the World Heritage List as one of the most cultural places in the world by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). The participants to the XIII Latin American Conferences on Rubber Technologies will be able to stay at the same place where the activities will be taking place.

GENERAL INFORMATION ACTIVITIES ATTENDEES The program of the XIII Latin American Conferences on Rubber Technology, consists of five days, that includes conferences, workshops, commercial presentation of scientific studies on rubber and latex technology and associated industries, in order to acknowledge the latest trends in rubber production worldwide, better strategies to seize new opportunities and be more competitive. The main objective is to promote reflection and discussion on trending topics to contribute to the success of the industry in a global context of constant transformation. The agenda of activities includes a trade show of the most important companies of the industry. The SLTC has been proposed as a tool to support the technological knowledge, business and management in the field of rubber industry framework within which the organization fits the XIII Latin American Conference on Rubber Technology.

GENERAL INFORMATION GUATEMALA Guatemala is a country in Central America, it bounders on the west and north with Mexico, the east with Belize and Honduras, to the east with El Salvador, and south with the Pacific Ocean. Due to its geographical location it has a variety of microclimates. Guatemala is also considered a meeting business point, it has many advantages such as their constant evolution on infrastructure and technology. It is a modern, sophisticated country with politic stability and a diverse economy. Industries such as manufacturing production and services, are growing in accelerated manner and have been transformed into vital axes of the national economy. Guatemala represents 35% of total production in Central America, exporting more than 4,075 different products to more 140 markets worldwide. Guatemala is recognized as the most dynamic metropolis of the region and the largest economic engine in Central America. It has a population of more than 16 million of people, representing 40% of total of the population of the region. According to the National Institute of Statistics, 70% of the Guatemalan population is under 40 years old. The monetary reserves in the country are US$7.3 billion. The foreign direct investments has had a growth of 400%, reaching the year 2013 to be US $ 1.3 million.
