Trail Ridge Camp Summer 2018

Dear Parents, We are looking forward to the summer of 2018 with great anticipation knowing that God is able to accomplish great and mighty things at Trail Ridge. We understand and appreciate the great privilege and the responsibility that comes with caring for campers. That s why we take such care and attention in prayerfully selecting our summer staff members. We are also committed to selecting speakers who have as much passion for your campers as we do. Our theme this summer is Character Quest. During each week of camp, we ll be examining the lives and examples of different characters in the Bible. While looking at their lives, campers will be given the opportunity to examine their own life and see how it affects their relationship with God. Hebrews 12:1-2a will be our theme verses this summer as we seek out Godly Character: Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith Summer Schedule June 8-9......Trail Ridge Experience June 18-23...Kids Kamp 1 June 25-30..Kids Kamp 2 July 2-7 Lifeline Camp 1 July 9-14...Kids Kamp 3 July 16-21....Lifeline Camp 2 July 23-28...Teen Camp First Time Kids Kampers and Teen Campers will receive a $50 Discount!

Trail Ridge Experience Join us this summer for the Trail Ridge Experience, a family weekend campout. During this weekend, you ll be able to see Trail Ridge with your own eyes and participate in camp activities. Come in on Friday evening and stay until Saturday afternoon. We ll begin with supper on Friday night at 7 PM. The night will include a good time of fellowship and activities. Saturday will be jam packed with activities for all ages giving you an opportunity to see what it s like being a camper at Trail Ridge. Take a shot at the archery range, paddle around the lake, belly flop into the pool, play a game of Octo-ball, treat yourself at the snack shop, cool off in the game room, make a craft and pitch some horseshoes. This weekend will be great for families to come experience a weekend at Trail Ridge! Maybe you re interested in supporting Trail Ridge, sending campers or volunteering. Maybe you just can t get enough of Trail Ridge. This weekend is for you! Register online for the Trail Ridge Experience: June 8-9, 2018! Or call for a registration to be sent to you: 800-729- 9829.

Kids Kamp Kids Kamp is our flagship program here at Trail Ridge. These weeks of camp are for young people age 8-13 years old. Kids Kampers enjoy a week of group competitions, crazy games, wonderful food and engaging chapel sessions. During Kids Kamp, they will have a chance to participate in activities like boating, archery, crafts, Octo-ball, 9-square, go-karts, and tons more! Each week, we ll be bringing in a special guest speaker to challenge and encourage campers to show Godly character. Also during those chapel times, we ll be spending time worshipping God through music. The spiritual emphasis continues as campers participate in group devotional time and a Scripture memory competition. The cost of Kids Kamp is $215. Discounts are available for Early Bird Registrants (April 30 th ) and children or grandchildren of volunteers who stay for the week. This summer, there will be three different weeks of Kids Kamp: Kids Kamp 1- June 18-23 Kids Kamp 2- June 25-30 Kids Kamp 3- July 9-14 First Time Kids Kampers and Teen Campers will receive a $50 Discount!

Teen Camp Teen camp will be held the week of July 23-28. This week of camp is just for teens age 14-18. Campers going to have an awesome week of getting to know other teens, participating in the camp program and hearing 9 different chapel messages throughout the week. Our chapel sessions will be geared toward building Godly character and avoiding the pull of ungodly influences using God s Word as our guide. As our campers get older, our activities get more elaborate. Last year, teens enjoyed classic Trail Ridge activities like the Slip n Slide, 9-Square, Go Karts, Octo-Ball and Ooga Booga; but also experienced some new and exciting additions to our camp program. Teen Camp is a great opportunity for past Kids Kampers and for new teens alike to enjoy a week at Trail Ridge. Take a look at our What s New page of this brochure to see what else you can look forward to this year! The cost of Teen Camp is just $215. Discounts are available for Early Bird Registrants (April 30 th ) and children or grandchildren of volunteers who stay for the week. First Time Kids Kampers and Teen Campers will receive a $50 Discount!

Lifeline Camp Lifeline Camp is a unique program offered by Trail Ridge for campers who would not be able to attend without scholarships provided from camp supporters. We are planning on bringing in over 150 campers on full scholarships this summer. During these weeks, we still need our full crew of volunteers to run the weeks of camp. Assistance is needed on the kitchen crew, grounds crew and housekeeping crew. Volunteer lifeguards and camp nurses are also needed for these weeks as we continue to run our same type of program that we do for Kids Kamp giving our campers opportunities for many new experiences outdoors in God s creation! We also are in need of supporters to give to the Scholarship fund. Pulling from this fund provides these weeks of camp absolutely free for our campers as well as their transportation to and from camp. If you are interested in sponsoring campers for Lifeline Camp, please contact us. Your gifts to the scholarship fund help cover their week of camp as well as their transportation to and from camp. Volunteer applications and an online donation form can be found at TrailRidge.org. Help make a difference in the lives of these campers with your financial and volunteer support.

What s NeW this summer? Snack Shop- Yes, we ve always had a snack shop, but we ve been able to complete a major remodeling project recently making the snack shop area much more inviting! Gopher Ball- Lord willing this project will be completed in the spring of 2018! This addition will bring another exciting activity for our campers to enjoy. BB Gun and Slingshot Range- This project should be completed in the spring of 2018. Campers won t need to bring anything to enjoy the range as all guns, slingshots, targets, ammo and safety gear will be provided. Trained staff will always be supervising this activity. Hike the Solar System- Did you know that if the sun were a 10-inch ball by our flagpole, Jupiter would be about the size of a quarter near the main entrance to the Thomas Center? We re working on a scale model of the solar system that you can hike around camp. Learn about the created universe and more about our Great Creator! First Time Kids Kampers and Teen Campers will receive a $50 Discount!

Volunteer The general operations positions during our weeks of summer camp are filled by volunteers. Volunteers come from all different backgrounds. Some volunteers are parents or grandparents of campers so their campers can receive a discount. Volunteers can be any age from teenager to senior citizen! Volunteers come ready and willing to serve and leave camp refreshed and grateful for the opportunity to fellowship with co-laborers and enjoy observing the summer camp program.
