Aims of this meeting For us to give you information about the trip For you to ask any questions

How will we get there? Very, very early (05:00 -to be confirmed) Meet the coach in the lay-by on Paynes Drive Drive to Port (with toilet stops as necessary) Approximately 09:30 take the Ferry to France Lunch time (approximately 13:00) Drive to the hotel (7 hours with stops) Evening (approximately 7pm) WE ARRIVE!

What will you need for the journey? Have something to eat before you leave, especially if you take travel sickness tablets Bring breakfast and lunch meals including drinks (not fizzy) packed in a day bag with a re-useable bottle for the week.

How will parents know we ve arrived safely? We will contact you via parent mail when we reach the port the hotel That s why it s important we have your correct contact number!

Where in Germany is Boppard? here

Where are we staying? Hotel Rheinlust, in the town of Boppard, on the Rhine. Accommodation: bedrooms of 3/4 children with ensuite bathrooms. Located in guest house attached to hotel or the main hotel. Meals will be eaten in the main hotel.

What s the accommodation like? bedrooms grouped together with staff members on same floor. Rooms are all very similar..

What to do if you take medicine All medication must be in named original bottle or wrapping Must be given to Mrs Solloway, our designated medical person, with details of when it needs to be given and whether any has already been taken that day If any other medical needs arise we will telephone the contact number given to us on the sheet.

What if I get travel sick? Always eat something before taking travel sickness medication Try it out beforehand, to check for any adverse reactions Bring plenty of travel sickness medicine we will be travelling each day. Unused medication will be handed back to parents on our return.

What spending money will I need? 30 Euros maximum Bring a selection of note sizes and coins if possible in a named envelope then include a purse / wallet in your suitcase 50 cent coins are very useful for toilet Stops Euros and 5 cent coins are useful for souvenirs

CAN TAKE: THEY ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY Cameras (disposable or standard cameras which are only for taking pictures) Books, paper, pencils, card games, travel games etc It s best to name everything CANNOT TAKE: mobile phones, hair straighteners, hairdryers, electronic games, IPod, IPad etc. food or drink (other than in day bag for the outward journey)

What will I need to take with me? -the kit list provided is only a guide -check the weather forecast for the week -enough clothes to wear, but not too many that you can t lift your case upstairs! -must have a small, sturdy rucksack/ backpack to carry water and lunch every day - Water bottle which can be refilled each day -will need sun cream and hats in case of hot weather -will need sweaters and waterproofs and stout/sensible shoes for wet days and walking -if you are sensitive to mosquito bites, please pack insect repellent -will also need a wash bag and a towel (for washing or showering we will not be swimming)

We will give you a school contact number before we go. We will be in daily contact with school. Children will be in charge of their own rooms and equipment Please show the children: how to recognise their own clothes (preferably named) how to hang up a wet towel so that it will be fit to use another time!

It was amazing, I enjoyed it so much.

We will send a reminder during the week before we leave about final arrangements so don t worry about forgetting anything
