from the camp director Dear Parents and Campers, Wow, did we have fun last summer! If you are new to our program - welcome! If you are returning to camp - we've missed you! We are so excited to offer our camp program again this year to your children! We truly believe they will take away so much from just one week with us. Campers will experience an "overnight camp" feel in a day camp setting each day. Our farm will also provide them with the opportunity to tap into their own imaginations, problem solve when faced with challenges, and interact with our farm friends. On behalf of our HHF family, I'd like to welcome you to camp! We hope that our little retreat provides you and your camper with peace, happiness, and healing! OPEN HOUSE Saturday, June 2, 2018 -- 9am-11am Meet our fantastic counselors, sweet animals, and check out our farm. God Bless, Jenna Gibbons Camp Director

W W W. H I C K O R Y H I L L F A R M T N. O R G S U M M E R 2 0 1 8 The Details "As a parent, I am thankful there is a program like this for my child to go to. He learned about rescue animals, did art projects, exercised, and had a wonderful time!" We think the development of character is extremely important for today's youth. Our camp program embodies the following values, and we incorporate these into our program: SERVICE EMPOWERMENT RESPONSIBILITY KINDNESS LEADERSHIP Camp will run the week of June 11. Camps are available for children ages 7-13. One full week will be Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 12:00pm. Pre-Camp services for campers ONLY will run from 7:00am - 8:00am and After-Camp services from 12:00pm-2:00pm. Campers can visit our Snack Shack daily! In addition to their specific camps, campers will enjoy GAGA, Ultimate Air Square, slide on our Raging River Slip n' Slide, enjoy teambuilding activities, participate in a community-service project, read to and interact with our rescued animals, and enjoy our Friday Cookout!

Our Special Program CONTACT US: info@hickoryhillfarmtn.org 615-470-5747 Campers have a choice in their program! We've created an overnight camp "feel" in a day camp setting. Campers also get a chance to interact with our rescued animals, learn life-long skills on the farm, and build lasting friendships! HICKORY HILL FARM PO BOX 1454 Mount Juliet, TN 37121 Camp Location: Lebanon Foster Farm 5206 SE Tater Peeler Rd Lebanon, TN 37090

H I C K O R Y H I L L F A R M S U M M E R 2 0 1 8 Safety and Staff It is important that our parents know that our campers' safety and well-being are priority at Hickory Hill Farm. We carefully select our volunteer counselors by completing background checks and look specifically at their qualifications and experience - many are certified TN teachers! All counselors go through structured and detailed staff training as well. We have CPR and First Aid certification and work in small groups (1:8 counselor to camper ratio). Our expectations for staff and campers center around safety on the farm, during activities, and around animals.

A Day at Camp Campers will come home tired, dirty, HAPPY, and full of GREAT stories! TYPICAL CAMP DAY AT HHF 7:00am - 8:00am: Pre-Camp 8:00am - 12:00pm: Specialty Camps 12:00pm - 2:00pm: After-Camp *During the 8:00am-12:00pm camp sessions, each camp will rotate between our Snack Shack and Slip n' Slide daily. *Each camp will participate in the following in their weekly schedule: community service project, MAC (My Adventure Challenge), and Reading with Rescues. *Pre and After Camp are optional services for campers at Hickory Hill Farm ONLY. Parents can use these as needed throughout the week. These are offered at $6/hour, and parents will be billed at the end of the week for services used.

TYPICAL DAY AT CAMP NEW THIS YEAR! W E A R E T H E M O S T U N I Q U E S U M M E R D A Y C A M P A R O U N D! SNACK SHACK: Each morning, campers will have the chance to grab a snack at our Snack Shack. We'll offer healthy options and a few they might want to splurge on! Items will range from $1.00-$3.00, and campers can bring Snack Shack Cash with them each day! Campers can bring a snack, too! ULTIMATE AIR SQUARE Just like four square, but in the AIR! It's fun, challenging, and you won't want to stop! Stay in the game and get to the king square! How long will YOU be king?! SLIP N' SLIDE: It is going to be HOT! Our campers will be encouraged to drink plenty of water throughout the morning and will enjoy a daily visit to our HHF Slip n' Slide! Campers can bring their bathing suits or just wear them under their clothes. Please bring a towel each day! MAC (My Adventure Challenge): It's extremely important that our campers engage in activities that build character and teach them the importance of team work and cooperation. Campers will participate in a few of these activities throughout the week and hope that they will leave a lasting impact them! HHF OBSTACLE COURSE Prepare to work hard and challenge yourself! This course is tough AND fun! Work together to complete it as a team! COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT: One of the core values at HHF is "serve," and we feel that it's important for our youth to give back to those in need. Your camper will get the chance to do just that this week! READING WITH RESCUES: We believe that daily reading is critical to develop strong literacy skills - especially throughout the summer months. We thought it would be really neat to give our campers the chance to read to a different kind of listener - a rescued animal! Please have your camper bring a book on Friday!

THE CAMPS MAD SCIENTISTS - $130 This camp is not your average science class! Put your goggles on and get ready to be amazed! Each day we will buddy up for small experiments and then gather for a CRAZY, cool, group experiment! This camp is full of brotherhood, philanthropy, and nonstop FUN! The week will be jam packed with GAGA tournaments, nerf guns, messy experments, football, outdoor laser tag, guest speakers, a service project, and MORE!
