Wendy opened up discussions about the suggestion to offer a 6 week training fitness commencing in late January 2015. The sessions will be run by Tania Heap and discussion took place about the costs involved and what to charge; suggested a $40 charge to the player with a possible subsidy from Bombay Netball
Club; no decision was confirmed. Places will be limited and players will be contacted via Facebook or telephone to get an idea of the interest. More discussion to take place in December at the Club Meeting. High Performance Training at PNC. Players to nominate? Following on from the PNC Management Meeting on 8/9/14 where they asked the Clubs in attendance if they had any players who could be eligible. It was agreed to contact PNC to ask age group and Bombay Netball would follow up, once in receipt of this information. Coaching Clinic pre season strapping course for players at PNC. More information will become available from PNC next year. Suggested date for Fun Day 2015 or do we combine with Bombay 150 Anniversary weekend? Nicki Main opened up discussions about the 150 Anniversary weekend and it was decided not to combine the Fun Day due to limited space. No date has been set for the Fun Day 2015 and further discussion will take place at the next Club Meeting in December. It was agreed that Bombay Netball Club will be involved in the 150 Anniversary weekend and the Club would like to have a Nachos Store as a fundraiser, shoot the goal competition and we will try to source some old Club photographs. Nicki will co ordinate and let the organisers know of our wish to participate: Background to the Bombay 150 Anniversary Weekend: You may be aware that Bombay turns 150 years old next year and there are celebrations planned for the weekend 13th 15th March 2015. The Festival will run from 10am 3pm. On Saturday we are planning a Family Fun Festival that will be held at Bombay School. There will be plenty happening and lots of family entertainment. As part of this day we recognise the importance of involving our local Clubs and Associations and would like to provide the opportunity for your Club/Association to be part of this event. We will allocate an area for groups to have a 'display'. How you do this is mostly up to you, subject to space but we envisage you using the opportunity to display the history of your club/assn, promote the future as well as fundraise. Some suggestions are included below: Photo display for example club history...through the ages Fun activities to involve the public Demonstrations Run a competition Set up a small stall to fundraise (we are having Farmers Markets and there will also be food stalls so please us know your thoughts on this one so we don't have any double ups)
So we can move ahead with planning and layout could you please confirm if you would like to be part of this opportunity by the end of October. If you need more time please let me know and we can accommodate. We will also need details of what you plan to do on the day at a later time. At this stage we just need to confirm interest. Update on grant applications. No update was available other than The Southern Trust were looking into Bombay Netball s application. It was agreed that Gary would pursue other grant applications as soon as possible and would try NZCT. Any other Business: A brief discussion took place about fundraising opportunities for the Prem girls especially should they wish to enter into the RPL next season. Further discussion will take place at the next Club Meeting in December.
