Pool Tournament SUN., MAR. 8 Bowling Bash www.harborlite.org goes live! Happy New Year! I d like to congratulate all returning Officers and Board members and welcome new Board Member, Mike Christofferson. Mike will do a great job and we all look forward to working with him. We had our first Board meeting in January and, in this Beacon, you will find a Schedule of Events to clip and save for reference. Of course, new events always get added, so check the bulletin board, emails and our new website for updates. Yes! We have a new website that has been redesigned and, hopefully, easier to navigate. Search www.harborlite.org and click on the link! The website was designed by Image Management of Racine, with our input. Although we are still in the process of tweaking and adding information, I urge you to check it out! There is a Contact Us tab for inquiries and comments. We had a busy, holiday season but I would be remiss if I didn t thank Jan Petrakis & her elves for coordinating the Kid s Christmas Party; Bill & Julie Nelsen for hosting the Members Christmas Party and Vicki & Riggs Jessen for hosting the New Year s Eve Party. Well done!!! It s a new year, which means Membership Dues will need to be paid by Feb. 28. Also, if you have a change of address or contact information revision, please fill out the form in this Beacon and mail or leave at the club. Changes will be updated in the 2015 Roster and By-Laws. As you can see we have a number of events coming up. Personally, I hope you can join me at the 2015 Installation of Officers Dinner and Dance on Saturday, February 7. It s a great way to welcome and support the new and returning Officers and Board. I Mike & Marcia Christofferson Happy New Year from Ken & Wanda Gall Visit us at: www.harborlite.org thoroughly have enjoyed my first year as Commodore and look forward to the new year. Thank you all! Ken Gall, Commodore

The Making of A Joyful Noise! Members from the club have told me what a great Kid s Christmas Party is was! I tell them, it wouldn t be possible without the enormous help from our volunteering members! Our shoppers who found super gifts were: Carol Fritchen, Michelle McFarland, Bonnie Klemick, Jan Lechner, and Nancy Nielsen. Wrapping those special gifts: June Spaulding, Patt Reitsma, Michelle McFarland, Bonnie Klemick, and Gail Larsen. Helping with food set up were: Pat Green, Marcia and Mike Christofferson, Cheryl Mayrand and Diane Frye. One of the most popular places was the ice cream bar supervised by Heidi Kappa. Our special activity helpers were: Morgan and Olivia Matilla, Carol Fritchen, Bonnie Klemick, Cyndi Knapp-Finley, Vicki Jessen, Audrey Linnenkohl, Nataleigh and Janet Wiesneth (Mike Wiesneth s sister.) A favorite place to hangout was Santa s Recreation Center supervised by our Eric Ebernal with assistant Isaiah Eisch. Mrs. Claus (Jean Shelby) helped the kids create Santa ornaments. Cuddles and Billy the Clown were again a hit! This year Billy brought glitter tattoos! (I spotted Diane Frye vacuuming glitter while the rest of us were resting at our local watering hole!) Thank you to Santa (Dick Plucker) for again volunteering his services. Thank you to those who provided us with delicious food and/or donated money to help with the costs. A special thanks to my daughter, Erica, who helped me set up and get organized. Thanks everyone see you next year! Jan Petrakis Editor s Note: Dick Plucker, who was our Harbor Lite Santa Claus for many years, passed away in January. Although Dick was not a member, he played cards at the club and when asked to be Santa for the party, he kindly accepted. He looked and played the part well, don t you think? We will all miss you Dick! Thanks Santa!
