Oxfordshire SLEEPS 16-18 Sleeps 16-19 people in 9 bedrooms Quirky house dating back to the early 1500's Heated outdoor swimming pool (from June to September) Mature gardens and grounds Bikes, trampoline and tree house for children Easy access to London
OVERVIEW is a timber framed Tudor house dating back to 1501 and situated in an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' in Oxfordshire. Much of the house remains in its original state, but it was updated in 1927 when central heating was added. The manor is a fascinating house and retains many of its original features. It is unusual in that it has nine bedrooms but only two bathrooms. The living areas are very comfortable and full of beautiful antiques and decorative items, including taxidermy. Outside there are two hectares of gardens with a beautiful heated swimming pool and barbecue dining area. There is plenty of stuff for children to enjoy, with a trampoline to play on and a tree house to explore. In addition to this, the house offers plenty of bikes, toys and games to keep the little ones entertained. The manor is very conveniently located for all main transport links and major attractions, and is only a 30 minute train journey from the centre of London. If you want to stay somewhere with real charm and character that's a little bit 'quirky' with an excellent garden and outdoor facilities then you will love. About the owners: The house is the principle residence of the owners, so you will find personal belongings throughout the house (with exception of bedrooms). The house is owned by an interior designer and an antiques dealer and you will find lots of various collections of memorabilia crammed into every available bookshelf and cupboard.
