The project used recycled materials to build new permanent tables with accessible seating. The troop also removed staples from existing tables and posts at the site. The project involved professional grade craftsmanship led by the Troop s Scout Master, General Contractor, Eric V., and approximately 280 man hours to complete.

Above- students from Marin Montessori School celebrated Earth Day with a service learning project at Stafford Lake Park on April 23 rd, 2013. The group worked to remove invasive Italian Thistle, Milk Thistle, and Poison Hemlock plants from a restoration site that lines a seasonal creek. After clearing weeds, the group sheet mulched around native shrubs and trees to help promote the health of these native plants, reduce exotic weed seed dispersal, and significantly reduce staff time and resources to maintain the site in the future. Above- Michael Swalberg s Eagle Scout project involved surface renovations for two picnic areas at Stafford Lake Park and the installation of a new barbeque at one of the sites. Michael s Greenbrae based Boy Scout troop did weeding work to clear the site and grading work to prep for bender board installation. Then they installed decomposed granite with Portland cement binder and compacted the material using the Wacker vibra-plate.
