DIAL Turns a Year Old! This December, LTPDL1 & RFHDL celebrated their first birthday with great style and panache. The enthusiastic staff members of the twin hotels put together a delightful evening of dance, music and games called Sparsh. Designed to enchant everyone, the event encapsulated a panorama of cultural performances, folk and patriotic singing including Bollywood numbers performed by our very talented and self styled dancers. Mention worthy are our differently abled colleagues who left no stone unturned in setting the evening ablaze with their spell bounding contributions. Adding extra spice to this razzmatazz was the delectable Purani Dilli ka Khana, that left everyone asking for more.
Republic of Noodles wins Times Food Award 2014 Republic of Noodles, Lemon Tree Premier, Ulsoor Lake, Bangalore has brought us another laurel by winning the prestigious Times Food Award presented in association with Times City and Bangalore Times under the Best Pan Asian Cuisine, Casual Dining category. The award was received by Mohinder Singh, the Hotel General Manager and Akash Bhatia, the Resident Hotel Manager at the ITC Gardenia, Magnolia, Bangalore on 8 th December. Chef Surojit along with his talented team were also felicitated on this occassion. The Food Oscars were graced by close to 500 guests including celebrities from the world of Business, Fashion & Bollywood. The team delighted the guests with their signature dishes making it the most memorable night of the year 2014 in Bangalore. Timescity.com and Bangalore Times commended RON for its delectable pan-asian cusine and for making eating out in Bangalore a truly pleasurable experience. Shantanu Kumar Das, Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, Red Fox Hotel-Delhi Airport was awarded the 'Unsung Hero of the Year Award 2014 by Hotelier India in a glitzy ceremony on 12 th December 14 for his initiative in training Employees With Disability especially his work pertaining to employees with Down s Syndrome. Govinda (born Govind Arun Ahuja) ace actor, politician, original King of Comedy and everyone s Hero No. 1 recently visited LTPDL1. Govinda appeared in several commercially successful films in the 1990s and was one of biggest superstars of his era. Chi Chi, as he is lovingly called has received several Filmfare Awards and Zee Cine Awards. Having made his debut in Ilzaam in 1986, he has appeared in over 165 Hindi films. In June 1999, Govinda was voted as the tenth greatest star of stage or screen of the last thousand years by BBC News Online users Rajpal Yadav recently visited LTPDL1. Born in Uttar Pradesh, he was associated with Shahjahanpur theatre and performed in lots of plays before going to Lucknow for theatre. He then pursued acting in National School of Drama, Delhi before moving to Mumbai to follow his dreams. A Sansui Screen Awardee, he is popular for his roles in Hera Pheri and Garam Masala. He has also done a Hollywood movie in the year 2014 called- Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain.

From LTPBL1 Files Some luggage of a guest was mistaken by another guest as his own and got carried off to Mysore. Realizing that the guest s bag had to be fetched back, Nagaraju volunteered to travel by bus on his day off and brought back the luggage on the very same evening, thus saving the hotel the expense of sending a dedicated car for this. From LTPHY1 Files When the hotel tailor did not turn up for his shift due to illness, Surinder had his work cut out, to get a guests trouser stitched and delivered the next day as promised. After his shift got over, Surinder took the initiative to find a competent local tailor and got the guest s trousers stitched, dry-cleaned and delivered as committed to the delighted guest. From LTPBL1 Files Rishabh helped a guest who was looking to purchase a new trolley bag by not just providing him with the necessary information he sought but also by offering to get his old trolley bag repaired. He took the guest s old trolley bag and hopped several shops before getting it repaired and delivered to the hotel. The guest profusely thanked him for his initiative. From RFHDL Files Deepak, Abhyaraj, and Rahul ensured that a Foreign National guest s musical performance at Hauz Khas went smoothly by helping out as event coordinators. Since, the guest did not have an Indian network number, our Three Musketeers not only liaisoned with the guest s event company but also visited the venue with the guest to settle all arrangements, thus, guaranteeing the Irish Embassy function was a hit. Way to go trio! From LTHCN Files While cleaning a room, Alam found a large sum of money in an open e-safe. He escalated the same to the floor supervisor and the guest was handed over his rightful money to the exact amount. Well done, Alam. It once again stands proved that Honesty is the best policy and one of the core values of Lemon Tree.
From LTHGB Files From LTPHY1 Files Rahul offered a distressed lady guest a ride to LTHGB when a local cab driver mistakenly dropped her at LTPHY1 late at night, not realizing that a new hotel in Hyderabad had opened. Since the guest was reluctant to hire the hotel cab, Rahul offered to drop the lady guest and her kid to LTHGB. Later, he came back to the hotel to complete his shift. Ranjith accompanied a guest for a day-long sightseeing of Hyderabad on his day off. The guest who was earlier hesitant to step out alone, enjoyed the personalized service given by Ranjith and was impressed by his thorough knowledge of the glorious city. The itinerary of the tour included monuments, popular eating joints to frequently visited shopping complexes. From LTHGB Files When Pranay got to know that the guest had lost his mobile handset during his visit to Tirupathi, he proactively called the guests number and got in touch with the person who had found it. He then coordinated with his friend in Tirupathi and oragnised the delivery of the phone back to the guest. From LTHAR Files Ramchandra coordinated with the local Airport personnel and made sure that a guest s mobile phone, that the guest had unknowingly left in the hotel lobby, reached him well before his flight took off. The guest was overwhelmed by the proactive response of the hotel and thanked Ramachandra for going beyond the call of duty to deliver his mobile.

LTABR turned 8 years old and celebrated their birthday in true Lemon Tree fashion by cutting the birthday cake at the hotel amongst laughter and other fun activities. Later, they paid a visit to an all girls orphanage in Parra and donated food, stationary & clothes. RFHJP inaugurated their own quirky Aapni Fox Cafe to uplift the spirits of its staff members. The recreational centre housing a T.T. Table and several other entertaining gaming options, was also redone to help its staff unwind and relax. A press conference at LTHGB was held on 18 th December 2014 presided by Sumant Jaidka to formally announce the opening of the hotel in the media. Coincidentally, the hotel also turned a month old on this day. The Statesman recently covered Citrus Café at LTHAR. The article was all praises for our lip-smacking options and drooling delicacies served in a refreshing ambience.
Merry Christmas! LTHIN LTHCD LTHAR LTHDN LTPHY1 The spirit of giving was embraced by love and care throughout the merry month of Christmas across our Hotels. DIAL put up a Christmas tree in the RFHDL lobby. It was not just an ordinary tree, but was meant to ADD LIGHT TO SOMEONES LIFE! The tree was attached to a cycle and each time a guest rode it, the tree lit up and in turn the hotel provided two warm meals to underprivileged people as a part of our sustainability initiative.
