Dear Friends, On Saturday & Sunday, July 21st & 22nd, the Hay Creek Valley Historical Association located at Historic Joanna Furnace will be hosting our 3rd World War II Weekend. The purpose of this event is for the education of our visitors and the younger generation about the WWII era. We also strive to encourage respect and honor to our veterans and past generations. The event atmosphere is like a family picnic of years past plenty of food, games, families, and most of all the older generations passing down local and family history. This will be a wonderful opportunity for us to help you in your vision of educating about the WWII era and honoring Veterans from all eras. Your involvement will also help us educate our visitors and encourage them to learn more about the Greatest Generation and honor those in the Military both past and present. We hope you will consider joining us that weekend! Sincerely, Elisabeth Cook WWII Event Coordinator 610-582-4744 backcountrymaiden@gmail.com
