Other picks will take place in 2018 and will be advertised around the parish so please look out for the notices the more participants the easier the job!! The contents of this Newsletter are for the benefit of residents living in Brickendon Liberty Parish and are not for wider publication without the permission of the Editor. An additional amount of 156.50 was raised in conjunction with the Farmer s Boy for the Air Ambulance by re-raffling a hamper. The Parish Council co-operated with the Farmer s Boy to provide car parking at the fireworks event on 4 th November and raised almost 90 which, together with a donation of 100 from the pub, was donated to Isobel Hospice. Brickendon Liberty Parish now own the old red telephone box in Brickendon Lane, so... how should it now be used? The PC already has a few ideas; they could purchase a second defibrillator and install it there; it might be used as a book exchange; BUT the PC would like to hear from local residents with other ideas. Litter Pick: Well done to the group of around 20 parishioners who carried out a successful litter collection on a bright and sunny Sunday in November. Again a huge amount of rubbish was collected from Tennis Courts Following concern regarding the amount of moss growing on the courts, which makes them unsafe, and the need for servicing of the nets and white lines, it was decided to close the courts on 22 November until work can be done to re-furbish both courts. They will be re-opened as soon as possible. Welcome: a very warm welcome to all who have recently moved into this Parish, we hope you will spend many happy years living in Brickendon Liberty.
