On the menu will be Chicken, Mango and Macadamia Filo Parcels or Spinach, Ricotta and Feta Filo Parcels. These yummy little parcels will be served with potato /salad and a tossed salad. Please place your names up on the dinner board if you intend attending. Highlights of our Tingira Melbourne Cup Event What a fantastic day! - With great food, good company and lots of fun and games. Three charming gents, Bob (holding our little jockey Isriel ) and Ron. They were chosen by the judges as best dressed and best hat (male). Isriel won the Commodore s choice award. Club members updated their CPR qualifications at a course held at the Clubhouse on Tuesday 24 October. The course was conducted by Queensland Ambulance Service instructor Denis Grant (seen centre photo). Attending the course were members, Peter Fox, Robyn Goffe, Elan Jones, Moya Fox, Joan Wheeler, Neville Prosser and Jeanette Trefle (missing from photo). Notice of a Quarterly General Meeting Please be advised that the next Quarterly General Meeting of the Tingira Boat Club Inc will be held at the Club premises at 91 Coast Road, Macleay Island at 10.30am on Saturday 25 November 2017. Written Notices of Motion must be in the hands of the Secretary not less than fourteen days prior to the date of the meeting. They will be made available for inspection by members not less than seven days prior to the date of the meeting. They will be placed on the Notice Board in the Clubhouse, which is open every Friday night from 6.00pm. Dragon Boaters' Sweet Request Lynne Turner has begun to organise this year s dragon boat float which will take part in the Macleay Island Christmas parade to be held on Saturday 02 December. Lynne no longer requires newspapers for paper mache but is asking Club members to please donate a packet of wrapped sweets. Lynne intends giving out the sweets to the children during the parade.
