Wien tourismus/maxum Invitation 45 TH ANNUAL MEETING The Changing Landscape of Self-Care HILTON Vienna, Austria 3-4-5 June 2009 ASSOCIATION OF THE EUROPEAN SELF-MEDICATION INDUSTRY
AIM OF THE CONFERENCE The objective of the Association of the European Self-Medication Industry (AESGP) is to improve responsible self-medication at the European level and to ensure that the views of the manufacturers of non-prescription medicines and self-care products, including food supplements, are recognised in pharmaceutical and health contexts. View of Vienna The AESGP Annual Meeting, which coincides with its 45 th anniversary, will look at the numerous changes currently seen in the self-care environment. Particular attention will be paid to the distribution and to new indications of non-prescription medicines and what changes mean for the companies but also for health professions on the European and national level. The implication of current debates on a revised legislative environment for pharmaceuticals, food supplements and selfcare medical devices will also be discussed extensively. The meeting is therefore of particular interest to executives and professionals from the pharmaceutical industry, to the health professions and to government and academia seeking information on market and regulatory trends in the area of non-prescription medicines and food supplements as well as on their social and political environment around the world. In addition to a complete conference programme, there will be a number of social events which will provide ample opportunities for networking. Orangerie Garden 2 45 th AESGP Annual Meeting
