BERMUDA STATUTORY INSTRUMENT PRIVATE ROADS (VESTING) ORDERS 1949 TO 1968 [made under section 2 of the Private Roads (Acquisition and Improvement) Act 1947 [repealed] and section 1 of the Private Roads (Vesting as Highways) Act 1955 [repealed] and brought into operation on various dates] 1 The private roads specified in the Schedule shall vest in Her Majesty, Her heirs and successors, and shall become highways. 2 This Order consolidates the Private Roads (Vesting) Order, 1949 to 1968. SCHEDULE Private Roads Vested in Her Majesty 1 The road in Smith's Parish connecting the highway known "Harrington Sound Road" with the highway known as "Knapton Hill Road", and the extension of the said road from the "Knapton Hill Road" to the highway known as "The South Shore Road". 2 The road in Devonshire Parish known as "Watlington Road" connecting the highway known as "The Middle Road" with the highway known as "Brighton Hill Road". 3 The road in Devonshire Parish connecting the highway known as "Dock Hill" with No. 3 Tribe Road. 4 The road in Pembroke Parish connecting the highway known as "Happy Valley Road" with the highway known as "The Middle Road". 5 The road in Warwick Parish known as "Cedar Hill Road". 6 The road in Southampton Parish leading westward from "Gibbs Hill Lighthouse Road" to the highway known as "Church Road". 1989 Revision 1

PRIVATE ROADS (VESTING) ORDERS 1949 TO 1968 7 The road in Sandys Parish known as "Bob's Valley Road" connecting the highway known as "Scott's Hill" with the highway known as "Sound View Road" and the highway known as "The Main Road". 8 The road in Smith's Parish leading from a point near the Whitney Institute on the highway known as "The Middle Road" through the tract of land known as "The Jennings Land" to a point near the entrance to Flatt's Harbour on the highway known as "The North Shore Road". 9 The road in Pembroke Parish leading from a point opposite the entrance to the Bermuda Electric Light Company's power station to the highway known as "Richmond Road". 10 The road in Warwick Parish leading from the highway known as "The Middle Road" through the tract of land known as "The Tamarind Vale Estate" to the highway known as "The Harbour Road". 11 The road in St. George's Parish known as "Upper Wellington Hill Road" leading northward from a point known as "the Slip Gate" and extending westward to Nearon's Cut and eastward to the road known as "the Khyber Pass Road". 12 The road in Sandys Parish leading north-eastward from a point near to Wreck Road on the highway known as "The Middle Road" to the highway formerly the property of the Bermuda Railway Company Limited. 13 The road in Paget Parish leading southeastward from a point near the Cobbs Hill Road on the highway known as "The Ord Road" through the tract of land known as the Harvey Estate to the highway known as "The South Shore Road". 14 The roads in Devonshire Parish situated within the tract of land known as the Watlington Estate and comprising (i) the road leading south-westward from the highway known as "Brighton Hill Road" to the highway known as "Watlington Road", (ii) the road known as "Road No. 4" connecting the highway known as "The Middle Road" with the road known as "Road No. 5" and (iii) that part of the road known as "Road No. 5" leading southward from the road known as "Road No. 4" to "Tribe Road No. 1". 15 The private road in Pembroke Parish leading in a north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 215 feet from a point near the intersection of the highways known respectively as Curving Avenue and King Street. 16 That portion of the estate road between Spice Hill Road and Tribe Road No. 5 in Warwick Parish delineated and coloured pink on 2 1989 Revision

drawing No. 83/A/5 prepared by the Public Works Department and dated the 28th February, 1956, a copy of which accompanied the Governor's message to the House of Assembly No. 85 of this present 17 That private road in Sandys Parish known as Cooks Hill Road, leading from Sound View Road to Bobs Valley Road, delineated and coloured grey on drawing No. 24/A/9 prepared by the Public Works Department and dated the 16th July, 1957, a copy of which accompanied the Governor's message to the House of Assembly No. 11 of this present 18 That private road in Devonshire Parish known partly as Chaingate Road and partly as Road No. 2, Watlington Estate, delineated and coloured grey on drawing No. 135/A/9 prepared by the Public Works Department and dated the 9th June, 1956, a copy of which accompanied the Governor's Message to the House of Assembly No. 82 of this present Session. 19 That private road in Warwick Parish which diverges in a North Easterly direction from Tribe Road No. 3 at a point 1,000 feet North West of the junction of the Tribe Road with South Road, following a North Easterly direction for approximately 400 feet thence a North Westerly direction for 270 feet rejoining the Tribe Road No. 3 at the point where the Tribe Road crosses the Colonial Government land formerly used as the Railway Right-of-Way, as delineated and coloured grey on drawing No. 97/A/4 prepared by the Public Works Department and dated the 9th September, 1958, a copy of which accompanied the Governor's Message to the House of Assembly No. 109 of this present Session. 20 That private road in Pembroke Parish known as Gorham Road, leading from Woodburne Avenue in an Easterly direction to Bermudiana Road, delineated and coloured grey and blue on plan No. 94/A/49 prepared by the Public Works Department and dated the 22nd April, 1959, a copy of which accompanied the Officer Administering the Government's Message to the House of Assembly No. 8 of this present 21 Those private roads traversing Colonial Government land at St. David's Lighthouse in St. George's Parish as delineated and coloured in red on plan No. 214/A/2 prepared by the Public Works Department and dated 22nd May, 1956, a copy of which accompanied the Governor's Message to the House of Assembly No. 49 of the present 22 That private roadway in Paget Parish parallel to and adjoining the western boundary of Tribe Road No. 5, Paget and running for a distance of 1028 feet in a southerly direction from its junction with Ord Road, as delineated and coloured blue on Drawing No. 11O/A/4 prepared by the Public Works Department and dated the 1st December, 1989 Revision 3
