THE GREAT SILK ROAD The Great Silk Road plays an important role on connecting of two great civilization - eastern and far eastern and peoples of the Central Asia.

TRANSIT POTENTIAL OF UZBEKISTAN Uzbekistan is the crossroad of the Central Asia, which creates the favorable for developing of regional cooperation, participation in regional and transnational projects of the transport corridors development.

About Uzbekistan The population is about 30 million people, population growth rate is about 1,63%. Area is 447,400 sq. km. Geographical position of Uzbekistan has no analogues in the world. Uzbekistan is far from sea ports at the distance of 3 000 km. To reach the sea ports in all directions, it is required to pass at least the territories of 2 countries.

Transport potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan Uzbekistan has unique geographical position; Uzbekistan is located in the center of Great Silk Road, which connected West and East during thousands of years; Uzbekistan is in the center of new created regional and interregional corridors.
