Tour Entry and Booking Instructions Dear Tour Entrant, Welcome to the 2017 Lancia National Rally Tour of Tasmania. As Tasmanians and Lancia Fulvia owners, it has been our pleasure to put together this Adventure Tour for you so we can share some of the beauties of our island state. This tour is also a great opportunity for Tasmanians to enjoy the beauty and elegance of Lancia saloons and sportscars, at their best - on the open road. Your Tour Road Book with maps will be handed to you at the same time as you register at Castlemaine for the Rally. In the interests of your peace of mind, when navigating in unfamiliar places and roads we strongly recommend the use of a GPS Navigator Monday 23rd October We leave Castlemaine for Station Pier, Port Melbourne to board the Spirit for the overnight journey to Devonport, Tasmania. Dinner on board. Tuesday 24th October We arrive at approximately 06.00, disembarking to muster in a nearby quiet street, then depart in convoy for Anvers Chocolate Factory for breakfast. After breakfast we are to visit two significant private car collections. On to Sheffield and its murals for lunch, then to Cradle Mountain Hotel in the Cradle Mountain National Park for the night. Wednesday 25th October We leave the central mountain area for the wild West Coast and the early mining settlements, stopping at Zeehan for lunch, a visit to the Gaiety Theatre (Dame Nellie Melba) and the West Coast Heritage Centre. Then approximately a 35 minute drive to Strahan for the next 2 nights. Thursday 26th October Strahan stands at the edge of Tasmania s south west wilderness on Macquarie Harbour. We are goping on an exclusive harbour cruise to Sarah Island and the rainforest calm waters of the Gordon River, with lunch on board. In the afternoon we board the Westcoast Wilderness Railway for an exclusive steam powered journey to Dubbil Barril and return in time for a Tasmanian gourmet buffet at our hotel. Friday 27th October We depart Strahan at 09.30 on a Targa Tasmania Stage to Queenstown, before taking two more Targa stages including the 99 Bends and up and out of Queenstown and on to Derwent Bridge. At Derwent Bridge we can visit the Wall in the Wilderness, a continually evolving wood carving depicting the history of the region. Each panel is 3 metres high by 1 metre wide. Then begins the long descent from the Highlands down to Hobart, through many historic towns. In the evening we have arranged a sumptuous dinner together, next door to our hotel where are cars will be securely parked under cover. Saturday 28th October This is where the formal part of our tour ends with a display of our cars on the lawns of nearby Parliament House, together with the Club Motori Italia. The lawns are next to the famous Salamanca Market, the Waterfront and a short walk into the City. If you have to return to the mainland today, you are approximately 4 hours drive from Devonport and the ferry to Melbourne. There are of course many other places to visit and enjoy on our island state, such as MONA (Museum of Old and New Art), Port Arthur Penal Settlement... If you wish to enter more than one Lancia in the Tour, you will need to complete a separate entry for each car and pay a separate entry fee. Additional passengers are welcome for a fee of $50. No charge for children. 3. A member without a currently mobile Lancia wishing to attend the tour, can enter using this entry form. All cars entered must be registered, be on the Club Permit Scheme or another permit authorizing their use on public roads in Victoria and Tasmania. 4. All entrants are to make their own TT Line Ferry and accommodation bookings to each hotel. Formal Closing Date for entries is Saturday, 25 July 2015. A late entry fee of $10 applies after that date.
