Webb Tours has taken dozens of groups to Alaska. We have hosted thousands to the Great Land over the years. We know what people like to see while there. As such, we will arrange private excursions at the four stops for any who are interested in joining us*. These excursions will be high quality activities that prior guests have loved. Of course, if it doesn t appeal to you, you can choose from other excursions offered by the ship. A director will be with you to make sure you get the most out of your Alaska vacation. But this is Alaska and to get the best stateroom, you should get on board early REMEMBER, you can cancel anytime for any reason up to March 15 th, so don t be left out! Daily Itinerary: July 8, 2012: Today we board our flight to Seattle, Washington. We will be transferred to the pier where we will board the lovely Norwegian Pearl for our seven day Alaska cruise. Our ship sails at 4:00 PM. Bon Voyage! July 9: At sea today entering the fabled Inside Passage. Keep your eyes open for whales or other sea life. Take some time to become familiar with the Pearl, a NEW SHIP. You ll find 12 restaurants, multiple pools, beautiful public areas and even a bowling alley. July 10: At 2:00, we arrive in Juneau, Alaska s scenic capital city. The ship docks right by town so there is much to do within walking distance. Our private excursion today combines gigantic Mendenhall Glacier with the lovely Glacier Gardens. Or choose a different activity. Remember, it s light until late. We re in port until 10:00 PM. July 11: Port of Call in Skagway. This is the gateway to the Klondike goldfields and there is much to do and see here. Our private excursion includes an entertaining theatrical performance called The Days of 98 Revue, telling the story of Skagway s most famous swindler. We ll then enjoy a scenic drive to the nearby Canadian border, over Whitehorse Pass enjoying waterfalls, mountains and lovely vistas. You ll still have plenty of time for browsing on your own on the boardwalk streets of old Skagway. We depart at 9:00 PM. July 12: We spend most of the day cruising in stunning Glacier Bay. A naturalist on board shares interesting information as we sail to the face of these gigantic rivers of ice. Listen and watch as massive pieces of ice crackle and fall into the bay. It is one of nature s greatest scenes. July 13: Wake up in Ketchikan today. Our private excursion combines a look around this interesting town (with a local guide) with a very entertaining Lumberjack Show. Or choose from a myriad of other options. It is great to be in Alaska! July 14: In the early evening today, we arrive in gentle Victoria, British Columbia. Our private excursion will show us the scenic Inner Harbor, followed by an evening visit to the world famous Butchart Gardens. You may have been there, but you will always enjoy it again especially on a summer evening. We then return to the ship which sails around midnight. July 15: Today we wake up back in Seattle and disembark. We transfer back to the airport for our return flight to Salt Lake (or other cities). *note: A minimum number of participants is required for private shore excursions to operate. Registration Information: To make a reservation, simply fill out the attached reservation form and send it to us with a deposit of $400 per person. When we receive your deposit, we will mail you a receipt confirming that you are registered for the tour. A letter with instructions, hotel address, flight information and more will be sent be sent 90 days prior to departure at which time the balance will be due. You do not need to pay the balance until after you receive that packet. We require final payments in the form of a check. If that is not possible, arrangements can be made to use a credit card. Webb Tours accepts Visa, Mastercard and Discover for tour deposits. Cancellation Penalties We understand that you may need to cancel your trip for whatever reason. If it is 76 days or more before departure, all money will be refunded. If it is within 75 days, we will charge you only what the cruise line charges us. If cancellation occurs between 75 days and 31 days prior to departure, you will forfeit your deposit. If it is within 30 days of departure, additional penalties (up to the total amount) will apply. For airlines, specifically, tickets are generally non refundable when purchased. However, most airlines will allow the value of the canceled tickets to be reused for future travel, though a penalty may be assessed to reuse the tickets. If you have to cancel, Webb Tours will work with other providers to obtain as much refund as possible for our travelers. Our travelers know us to be very fair in this regard. Cancellation Insurance: Cancellation insurance is also available should you be interested. The insurance provider that we us is a company called Travelex. You can learn about them at www.travelexinsurance.com. With this insurance, most of your money will be returned to you in case you have to cancel for covered reasons (illness or death of an immediate family member) at the last minute. The price for the insurance varies based on the price of the trip and the age of the participant (at the time the insurance is purchased). JUNEAU: Combination tour including a visit to stunning Mendenhall Glacier (visiting the interpretive center there) followed by admission to the very interesting and beautiful Glacier Gardens. Believe it or not, you are in a rain forest, and the scenery here is lush, colorful and very creative. We are in Juneau until 9:00 in the evening so there is plenty of time for shopping, whale watching or a myriad of other options. SKAGWAY: GOLD! This is the gateway to the gold fields and we ll enjoy a scenic ride over beautiful Whitehorse Pass into the Yukon Territory of Canada. The scenery is magnificent and we ll make several stops along the way to see waterfalls, mountain vistas or wildlife. Upon returning to town, we have tickets to the famous Days of 98 Revue telling the story of Soapy Smith, Skagway s most famous con man. You ll then still have half a day to relax, wander the boardwalk streets or book an additional excursion through the ship.
