Day 02 LIMA Shared half day city tour including the Larco Herrera Museum Your tour will start in downtown Lima where you will visit the Main Square where Lima was first founded. Here you can see the Presidential Palace, the Archbishop's Palace and the Lima Cathedral. Your tour will continue as you visit the Aliaga House, Saint Francis' Church, which has an authentic network of catacombs open to the public. Next, you will go to Pueblo Libre district to visit the Larco Museum. The museum, located inside a viceregal mansion built on a pre-columbian pyramid of the 7 th Century, houses the most complete pre-hispanic collection of gold and silver artefacts as well pieces of erotic art. 3

Day 03 LIMA - PARACAS Shared transport to coach station to board your coach. Cruz del Sur Dep: Lima 07:00 Arr: Paracas 10:30 Please Note: This coach transfer will take approx. 3.5 hrs Shared transfer on arrival to your hotel. Shared afternoon excursion to the Nazca Lines Enjoy a trip through the desert to the small desert village of Nasca. This village would have remained unnoticed by the world if it were not for the mysterious lines on the desert that have made it famous throughout the world. A monkey, a spider, a humming bird, all of vast size, can be seen from light aircraft - try to decipher the mystery yourself. Such flights cross the twenty geoglyphs on the Nasca plain as well as those discovered more recently at Palpa. The trip ends by flying over the mountains, where you will find marine fossils up to 150 million years old. Please Note: Flights from Pisco are operated in larger aircrafts than those that depart from Nazca. All flights from Pisco use modern Cessna Grand Caravan airplanes that are less than 4 years old. 5

Day 04 PARACAS LIMA Shared morning excursion to the Ballestas Islands The Ballestas Islands are sometimes described as Peru's mini-galápagos. The islands have been eroded to form countless natural caves and arches. In fact, this is where the islands' name comes from - the word Ballesta means 'bow' (as in archery). Touring by boat around these small Islands, you can easily spot hundreds of birds, including pelicans, boobies, Inca terns and cormorants. The islands also provide shelter to the Humboldt penguins which are usually seen at the entrances to the little caves. Along the stony beaches you will see hundreds of sea lions. In addition, visitors will also see the enigmatic figure known as El Candelabro, a mysterious drawing located on the slope of a hill overlooking the sea. Day 06 CUSCO Shared half day Cusco city tour You will start your scenic tour at the Coricancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun. From here you will then go to the Cathedral, the most important building on the Main Square and one of the most splendid Spanish colonial churches in America, which is shaped as a Latin Cross and houses about 400 colonial paintings. Its construction lasted almost a century, it started in 1560 and ended in 1654, hundreds of stones were taken from the Sacsayhuamán fortress for use in the building. 8
Day 07 CUSCO Days at leisure. Numerous activities can be arranged locally. Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire, carries the title of the Archaeological Capital of America with pride. Cusco, literally means navel in the local Quechua language and it certainly still fits this description today, as it is at the centre of Andean culture. It is the gateway city to the Andes, from where you can easily visit countless sites such as the famous Machu Picchu, one of the most fascinating lost cities in the world. There is no other place in the whole continent where you can easily reach ruins of such an amazing culture which are still in a good condition. The contrast between autochthon and western, history and present, gives Cusco its special beauty and charm, making it one of the most popular travel hubs of Latin America. Full of bars, museums, restaurants and cobbled stoned streets with small shops and friendly people. 9
Day 08 CUSCO SACRED VALLEY Shared full day excursion & transfer to the Sacred Valley including lunch After being collected from your hotel, your first stop of the day will be at a farm specialising in the rearing of South American Camelids. The farm near Awanakancha is home to a textile showroom and here locals will demonstrate the entire traditional process of weaving. Next you will visit Pisac market, here you can find an intriguing mix of local produce, including carvings, textiles and replicas of old Inca pieces. Pisac is also where you will stop for lunch, which can be enjoyed at a local restaurant. In the afternoon you will continue on to Ollantaytambo to explore the town whose residents still live in accordance with their old traditions. Ollantaytambo shows a huge archaeological complex that, without a doubt is one of the most monumental works of the Inca Empire. Although it bears the name of fortress, it was actually a tambo, a leisure place used to accommodate the delegations that travelled long distances. After your excursion you will be transferred onto your hotel. Day 09 SACRED VALLEY Days at leisure. Numerous activities can be arranged locally. For those seeking to fill their day at leisure with adventure, the Sacred Valley s natural characteristics make it ideal for practising a wide range of adventure sports. These include horse riding, hiking, kayaking, tandem paragliding, mountain biking and much more. Day 10 SACRED VALLEY MACHU PICCHU Transfer from your hotel to the station. Your tour to Machu Picchu begins with a train ride to Aguas Calientes. Peru Rail Luggage Restrictions: There is a luggage limit on Peru Rail services to/from Machu Picchu as per below Max weight 5kg per person (1 bag or backpack / Max dimensions 157 cm) Luggage Transfer from Sacred Valley to Cusco: Any excess luggage not being taken to Machu Picchu will be transferred from your hotel in the Sacred Valley to your hotel in Cusco, where it will be safely stored until your return from Machu Picchu. CONT SACRED VALLEY MACHU PICCHU On arrival in Aguas Calientes, you will be met and taken to meet a shared bus transfer up to Machu Picchu citadel. Aguas Calientes is also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo and is the last stop before entering the remains of the most important archaeological site in Peru. In Aguas Calientes, you will find the train station, a craft market, restaurants and hotels. Luggage Drop at Aguas Calientes Station: You can only take a small day pack into Machu Picchu. So you will need to leave your luggage at the drop point on the station platform for it to be securely transferred to your hotel. Shared half day tour of Machu Picchu Upon arrival at the site enjoy a three hour guided tour of this magnificent and mysterious Inca citadel. Your guide will explain the three different route options for your tour and together with your group (max 12 people) you will decide which route to take. There is no need to pre-book a particular route. During your tour the guide will explain everything currently known about the site and the history of the Incas. Machu Picchu tour regulations: - You must remain with your guide throughout the tour circuit. - You will be unable to re-enter the site once you have exited. Once you have completed the tour, you will be taken to the bus stop to meet the bus back down to Aguas Calientes, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch at El MaPí.
