It comprises seven terraced townhouses, among the first built by the famous Georgian architect, John Wood the Elder, between 1728 and 1736. The terrace is now Grade 1 listed by English Heritage. At the end of the road turn right and follow the pedestrianised zone up until reaching the bottom of Milsom Street. Turn left on to Quiet Street, which leads directly into Queen Square. From The Airport Follow the A4 into Bath. You will pass Royal Victoria Park and follow the Upper Bristol Road to Charlotte Street. At the end of Charlotte Street you will reach the corner of Queen Square. Take the right hand lane and Francis Hotel will be on your left hand side after the second corner. By Car From the M4, exit the motorway at junction18 and follow the A46 into Bath. Leave the A46 at the Bath junction. Take the third exit off the roundabout towards Bath, onto the A4 London Road. Take the right fork (A4) and follow on George Street (left hand lane) until you come to a sharp bend to the left, this is Gay Street. At the set of traffic lights you are at the top of Queen Square. Take the inside lane and you will see Francis Hotel on your left hand side after the first corner. We have a limited payable car park, which is available to our residents only. Pull up at the hotel main entrance and we will unload your vehicle, which we will then park for you, should spaces be available in our hotel car park. Alternative parking can be found at Charlotte Street long-stay carpark (BA1 2NE).
