CPRA is proud to be a sector leader on the development, launch and now implementation of the Framework for Recreation in Canada. As Co-Chair of the Implementation and Monitoring Working Group, we have worked alongside our provincial and territorial members, government colleagues, sector partners and the academic community on this guiding document for recreation. We envision a Canada in which every citizen is engaged in meaningful, accessible recreation experiences that foster individual, community and environmental wellbeing. The five goals of the Framework support the vision of the Framework: Active Living, Inclusion and Access, Connecting People and Nature, Supportive Environments and Recreation Capacity. We are excited to see Canadians from coast to coast to coast coming together this week to share their experiences, network and to learn how the Framework is being implemented in their regions.
