En Route 21 August 23 August 2016 Programme for Chita, Russian Federation 23 August 24 August 2016 Chita a city built in the mid 1600 s at the confluence of the rivers Chitinka and Ingoda. Located 6,200 km away from the capital Moscow, the town welcomes 320,000 citizens, 8 higher education institutes, 11 technical schools, 4 research institutes, 12 museums and 2 theaters. Chita s heartbeat is found around the Lenin Square. Several historical monuments reflect the political and cultural transition over the past 400 years in the Trans Baikal area. Chita is the hotspot of the ASEFSU20 to explore the essence of Human Connectivity, and the participants will: Unfold the notion of human connectivity within the complex and interdependent framework of history, geography and economic progress Learn about the history and diverse demography of a city which is often referred to as the City of Exiles.
