A rural idyll Crow Trees Farmhouse is one of those places that the first time you go to it, we will be honest, you will wonder where on earth you are going but you will soon realise that all of the properties situated off Mewith Lane are easily accessible, not only from High Bentham but from the Lune Valley via Wray and also over into Yorkshire via Keasden and Clapham. You are a couple of miles away from High Bentham s village amenities, various shops (there is a great butchers on Station Road which we can definitely recommend), a bank, post office, churches, primary school, railway station (on the Leeds to Carnforth branch line which will make Christmas shopping in Leeds a doddle!), public houses, a good fish and chip shop is also recommended and a Wednesday market. The jewel in the Lune Valley s crown is very much Kirkby Lonsdale, a market town approximately 11 miles distant, here you will find a good range of facilities and also well regarded Queen Elizabeth School. If you are willing to travel further afield, then Lancaster (15.7 miles), Kendal (24.4 miles) and Skipton (26.6 miles) will give you an even greater choice. For the outdoor lifestyle, Crow Trees Farmhouse is situated within the Forest of Bowland AONB, as well as being convenient for both the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks so you will find this a great location for work, rest and play! Directions Proceed towards High Bentham, at The Black Bull Public House in the centre of town, turn here, signposted Slaidburn and proceed down the hill and past the railway station, over the bridge and up the hill. At the crossroads (by Paxton Garage) turn left. Continue for a mile and after travelling down a dip in the road and up again, turn right onto a private track (there is very often a collection of wheelie bins at this junction!) and proceed for a further 0.5 miles passing a property on the left and then Mill Dam Farmhouse on the right further along the track. After passing Fold Bank Barn on the left, proceed up the final section of track (this is an absolute treat in itself as it crosses an open meadow and has some excellent views) towards Crow Trees Farmhouse and Crow Trees Barn. The farmhouse is on the left as you approach the two properties.
