Day 6 Tuesday, July 9 Vienna (B,D) Morning at leisure for sightseeing, shopping or other activities Lunch on own Lecture, preparation for Gala Winners Concert and group photo at the Wiener Konzerthaus Evening Gala Winners Concert in the Konzerthaus Join all the participating ensembles one more time at this event (You will find yourself either on the big stage or in the audience (depending on the final competition results), but wherever you will be, this is a true celebration of your individual achievements of the past few festival days as well as a celebration of International friendships that have been established over the course of the Summa Cum Laude Festival Award ceremony and farewell reception for all festival participants at the Vienna Rathaus City Hall Evening dinner and overnight Day 7 Wednesday, July 10 Depart for home (B) Transfer to Vienna s airport for return flight This is a very flexible itinerary. Except for confirmed appointments and performances, the places of interest and the sequence of sightseeing might be changed if necessary or desirable. In the event of an unavoidable conflict in the performance and the sightseeing schedule, the concert schedule will prevail, and it may be necessary to exclude some sightseeing activities. Includes up to $700 for U.S. Government airline taxes, fees, and estimated fuel surcharge. The festival includes the following: For Students Opening ceremony in St. Stephen s Cathedral, three workshops at the University of Music, two additional concerts in and around Vienna, closing ceremony, diplomas for every participant for the workshops attended, online presentation of the biography of the group and the exact Festival program, printed Festival program for every participant and conductor, participation certivicates for every group and every participant Competition category only One performance in front of the jury in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein and possibly (the best groups only as selected by the jury) a performance during the Gala Winners concert in the Konzerthaus Celebration category only One performance in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein For Chaperones/adult A Gala Winners Concert ticket at the Konzerthaus, free entrance to all festival activities including reception and closing ceremony ACCOMMODATIONS: Hotel accommodations in tourist-class hotels chosen for location, reputation, cleanliness, and service. The price is based on multi-bedded rooms for students and double occupancy for adults.
