Hello from Ragin Cajuns Volleyball! My name is Coach Heather Mazeitis-Fontenot and I am the Head Volleyball Coach here at the University of Louisiana, Home of your Ragin Cajuns! I would like to personally invite you to join us in another great summer of volleyball camp I have no doubt that this will be the best camp yet! GENERAL INFORMATION: Per NCAA rules, sport camps and clinics conducted by the University of Louisiana are open to all entrants. Enrollment is limited only by age, grade level, gender, and capacity restrictions as specified by each camp. The camp staff is available to help you with ANYTHING you may need. Please do not hesitate to let somebody know if we can help you or make camp more enjoyable for you. NO SMOKING, ALCOHOL, OR DRUGS. The use and/or possession of alcohol, drugs, tobacco, and any other illegal or inappropriate substance or items (firearms, lighters, matches, knives, etc.) by campers IS prohibited. Any items found will be confiscated and the parent or guardian will be contacted. Law enforcement will also be contacted if warranted. The above violations are justification for IMMEDIATE EXPULSION FROM THE CAMP AND NO REFUND WILL BE PROVIDED. Campers are allowed to bring cell phones; however they are NOT permitted to be used during camp sessions. If you are in an emergency situation and need to contact your camper, please contact Assistant Coach Ben Kaszeta. Parents and guardians are welcome to watch any training sessions. We strongly encourage you to watch the last session of the camp as it is primarily team play and there will be a closing ceremony. For registration and additional information, please contact Assistant Coach-Ben Kaszeta at volleyball@louisiana.edu. REFUND POLICY: Refund requests will be reviewed by camp administration. If your daughter is only able to attend part of a camp, a prorated amount is available if prearranged by May 1, 2018. These rates are usually reserved for those who miss an entire day and are not available to those that miss part of a session. For refund and prorated requests, please contact Assistant Coach-Ben Kaszeta at volleyball@louisiana.edu.

DRESS AND PACKING LIST: Youth Skills Camp, Junior High Skills Camp, and High School Elite Skills Camp campers will receive one Ragin Cajuns t-shirt for participating. Youth Skills Camp, Junior High Skills Camp, and High School Elite Skills Camp dress is a t-shirt, spandex or shorts, socks, kneepads, and comfortable shoes to wear during participation in camp. Kneepads are MANDATORY to participate in camp and you will not be able to participate without them. There will be no exceptions made. INFORMATION FOR OVERNIGHT CAMPER: RECOMMENDED PACKING LIST: - Gym/Volleyball Shoes - Kneepads (MANDATORY for participation - Phone charger, headphones, accessories, etc. - Snacks, drinks, etc. - Spandex or shorts - Socks - Toiletries - T-shirts - Umbrella/Poncho Please bring your toiletries and any other personal items you would like with you in the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel. You are welcome to pack other items but the above items are recommended packing items. It is recommended that roommate requests check-in at the same time. We will do our best to accommodate your room request. A roommate request is not required. If you do not have a roommate request, you will room with someone of similar age. Every camper is assigned to a hotel counselor and supervised at all times in the hotel. In each hotel suite, there is one bathroom and two beds that will host 2-4 total campers. Campers are allowed to visit other campers rooms but must return and remain in their assigned room prior to bed-checks. Report any problems to your hotel counselor immediately. Neither the camp nor the hotel is responsible for lost or stolen items. Campers are permitted to order delivery i.e. pizza but it is required to have the pizza delivered ONLY to the front desk or hotel counselor s room. Campers are not permitted to leave the hotel and are required to be in their assigned room by 10:00pm. Our staff will do bed-checks every night by 10:15pm. Parents and guardians are not allowed in camper's hotel room. We offer a roundtrip airport shuttle from Lafayette Regional Airport (LFT) for a fee of $20.00. CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT: Check-in and check-out location is based on the location of the camp. Bourgeois Hall will host the Junior High Skills Camp, High School Elite Skills Camp, and Team Competition Camp. Earl K. Long Gymnasium will host the Youth Skills Camp. Please see the attached maps for directions and parking information. It is mandatory that the parent or guardian checks-in their camper for the Youth Skills Camp s day one checkin. At this time, the parent or guardian will be issued a pick-up card that the camp staff will match to their child s pick-up card upon pick-up in the pick-up zone or gym. For all other camps, the camper is allowed to check-in and check-out without their parent or guardian. Each camper will be assigned a court coach for the entirety of the camp. This court coach will be responsible for them at all times including court sessions, lunch break, check-in and check-out procedures, etc. MEALS: There will be water coolers provided to fill up your personal water bottle. There will be a camp clothing and food store that accepts cash and credit card for purchases. We will have Ragin Cajun apparel, volleyball clothing and accessories, snacks, and drinks available for purchase. Meals are provided for the Junior High Skills Camp (lunch) and High School Elite Skills Camp (lunch and dinner). Please refer to the specific camp schedule for a detailed schedule of session and meal times. The Youth Skills Camp will provide a Bank that the parent or guardian can deposit money into an account. The camper will have access to this money through a camp staff member to purchase items. This has been a great way to provide your camper money without the responsibility of them having to hold the money. At the end of camp, you can close your Bank and the money that is not used is returned. MEDICATION: Prescription medications should be given to Associate Head Coach-Jenny Andrew at check-in. Please place medications in a Ziploc bag with written instructions, dosage amounts, and times. If your camper is taking a general over the counter medication and is age appropriate and responsible enough to take the medication on their own, they may keep it in their bag or hotel room. For additional questions or specific medication directions, please contact Ben Kaszeta at volleyball@louisiana.edu. ATHLETIC TRAINER: There will be an athletic trainer available to provide basic medical supplies, injury ice, and first-responder care. The trainer will NOT provide tape or taping services. If you would like to get taped, please bring your own tape and contact Assistant Coach-Ben Kaszeta.

EARL K. LONG GYMNASIUM PHYSICAL ADDRESS: 500 EAST SAINT MARY BLVD, LAFAYETTE, LA 70506 The drop-off/pick-up zone is located on Girard Park Circle at the corner of Girard Park Circle and East Saint Mary Boulevard. This zone is designated for campers to be dropped-off or picked-up by parents or guardians and not used for short-term or long-term parking. If you would like to park, please use the parking garage located on the corner of Girard Park Circle and East Lewis Street.

BOURGEOIS HALL, RECSPORTS PHYSICAL ADDRESS: 225 CAJUNDOME BLVD, LAFAYETTE, LA 70504 The drop-off/pick-up zone is located in the main parking lot of Bourgeois Hall before the gated entrances. This zone is designated for campers to be dropped-off or picked-up by parents or guardians and not used for shortterm or long-term parking. You will NOT be allowed past the gated entrance as there is limited parking available in this parking lot. Overflow parking will be located at Blackham Coliseum which is located on the corner of Cajundome Boulevard and Johnston Street. For Team Competition Camp, ALL team vans and busses must park at Blackham Coliseum. You MUST enter through the left-side building entrance that will be marked for ALL Volleyball Camps. You will NOT be allowed entrance access in the main entrance.

HILTON GARDEN INN HOTEL PHYSICAL ADDRESS: 2350 WEST CONGRESS STREET, LAFAYETTE, LA 70506 PHONE NUMBER: 337-291-1977 The Hilton Garden Inn Hotel will house all overnight campers. The hotel is located directly across from the Cajundome and on the corner of Cajundome Boulevard and West Congress Street. The hotel is ONLY included in the cost of the overnight option of the High School Elite Skills Camp. If you would like to reserve an additional hotel room, please contact the Sales Manager-Amber Slinin at amber.slinin@hilton.com or 337-291-1977. At this time, please reference the University of Louisiana Group Rate. The rate is available while rooms are still available.

YOUTH SKILLS CAMP COST: $130.00 DATE: JUNE 25-27, 2018 LOCATION: EARL K LONG GYMNASIUM The recommended age for this camp is for those entering grades 2-6. This camp focuses on all aspects of the game with the emphasis on fundamentals as well as refining technique and exposure to the tactical aspects of the game. Skill development is emphasized during hours of on-court instruction in the following areas: serving, serve receiving, forearm passing, setting, attacking, blocking, attack coverage, transition, and competition. No meals are provided with camp purchase so please pack your lunch. There will be a camp clothing and food store that accepts cash and credit card for purchases. We will have Ragin Cajun apparel, volleyball clothing and accessories, snacks, and drinks available for purchase. It is mandatory that the parent or guardian checks-in their camper for the Youth Skills Camp s day one checkin. HIGH SCHOOL ELITE SKILLS CAMP COST: OVERNIGHT $400.00, COMMUTER (NON-OVERNIGHT) $300.00 DATE: JULY 25-27, 2018 LOCATION: EARL K LONG GYMNASIUM The recommended age for camp is for those entering grades 9 or higher with high school volleyball experience. This camp offers a high level of training and increased individual playing time for athletes. Refining technique and exposure to the tactical aspects of the game is the key to this intense volleyball environment. This camp is ideal for the experienced volleyball player striving to be the best. All meals are provided for overnight campers with camp purchase. Lunch and dinner are provided for commuter (non-overnight) campers with camp purchase. There will be a camp clothing and food store that accepts cash and credit card for purchases. We will have Ragin Cajun apparel, volleyball clothing and accessories, snacks, and drinks available for purchase. The parent of guardian is able to check-in and check-out their camper for the lunch and dinner breaks. The parent or guardian will do this process in-person and with a member of the camp staff. TEAM COMPETITION CAMP COST: $300.00 PER TEAM (6 PLAYERS MINIMUM, 12 PLAYERS MAXIMUM) DATE: JULY 28-29, 2018 LOCATION: BOURGEOIS HALL & Earl K Long The camp offers a competitive tournament format for your team to compete against like teams before the start of high school season. Each team is guaranteed to play a minimum of five matches for the entirety of the camp. All freshmen, junior varsity, and varsity teams are welcome and will be compete against like teams. Each team must have a minimum of 6 players, maximum of 12 players, and must be accompanied by minimum one coach. No meals are provided with camp purchase. There will be a camp clothing and food store that accepts cash and credit card for purchases. We will have Ragin Cajun apparel, volleyball clothing and accessories, snacks, and drinks available for purchase. The drop-off/pick-up zone is located in the main parking lot of Bourgeois Hall before the gated entrances. This zone is designated for campers to be dropped-off or picked-up by parents or guardians and not used for shortterm or long-term parking. You will NOT be allowed past the gated entrance as there is limited parking available in this parking lot. Overflow parking will be located at Blackham Coliseum which is located on the corner of Cajundome Boulevard and Johnston Street. For Team Competition Camp, ALL team vans and buses must park at Blackham Coliseum. You MUST enter through the left-side building entrance that will be marked for ALL Volleyball Camps.
