The 37-page work describes the exploits of a little prince named Mutondi, who refuses to be a military man, defying his father, to follow his dream of becoming a great dresser for Timbila. The narrative shows that this rebelliousness of the boy leaves the father, the undisputed King of Padhukwa, with nerves, because he had no other heir to succeed him on the throne and thus command the army in defense of the kingdom to the neighboring attacks, particularly the vumis.
