Taiwan Taiwan, officially the Republic of China (ROC), is a state in East Asia. Taiwan has been abundantly endowed with mountains; over 200 of its peaks are more than 3,000 meters high, making Taiwan geographically unique. As mountains can be found anywhere, mountain climbing is a popular leisure activity in Taiwan. In addition, there are nine national parks which offer a variety of distinct topographic landscapes: from volcanic craters and lakes to white coral and shell beaches, natural attractions await your discovery at Taiwan National parks. Taiwan also has a very rich marine ecology. You can see a groups of different kinds of dolphins jumping out of the Pacific Ocean along the east. DAY 1 ARRIVAL & WELCOME DINNER Arrival Guests are met at the airport by our guide and transferred to the hotel by private and small group transport. Welcome! After check in at hotel, we ve prepared a welcome dinner at a great Chinese restaurant-silks Palace. Silks Palace, located adjacent to National Palace museum's Administrative Building to the west of the main exhibition hall, takes on NPM's unique character of tradition, disregarding formalities and pretenses but respecting the environment and, under the mastermind of renowned architect Ren-shi Yao, presenting the spirit of traditional architecture and food culture through modern construction and contemporary touches. DAY 2 MORNING EXPLORE TAIPEI CITY Buffet breakfast at the hotel National Palace Museum- Encounter art and artifacts of Chinese heritage. Martyr s Shrine- The shrine is dedicated to the 390,000 soldiers killed in the service of their country during the War of Resistance against Japan and the civil war between the Chinese Republican and communist forces. A major attraction at the shrine is the hourly ceremony for the changing of the honor guard in front of the main gate. Enjoy lunch at local Taiwanese restaurant Chang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall- A national monument, landmark and tourist attraction erected in memory of Chiang Kai-shek, former President of the Republic of China. Passing by the presidential office building- Designed by architect Uheiji Nagano during the period of Japanese rule of Taiwan (1895 1945). The structure originally housed the Office of the Governor-General of Taiwan. At present, this Baroque-style building is a symbol of the ROC Government and a famous historical landmark in downtown Taipei. Lungshan Temple- A Chinese folk religious temple in Taipei, Taiwan. The temple was built in Taipei in 1738 by settlers from Fujian during Qing rule in honor of Guanyin. It served as a place of worship and a gathering place for the Chinese settlers. In addition to its Buddhist elements, it includes halls and altars to Chinese deities such as Mazu and Guan Yu. Taipei 101 building observatory- A landmark supertall skyscraper in Taipei. The building was officially classified as the world's tallest in 2004, and remained such until the completion of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai in 2010. Taipei 101 features an Indoor Observation deck (88th and 89th floor) and an Outdoor Observation deck (91st floor). Both offer 360-degree views and attract visitors from around the world.
