Tourists are divided into three categories according to travel purpose: holiday travellers, workrelated travellers and travellers with other purposes. Domestic stayed in Tallinn s accommodation establishments 1.62 nights on average, which is a decrease of 18% compared to the same month last year. Foreign stayed 1.75 nights on average, which is a decrease of 4% compared to the same period last year. In August, from the main external markets, visitors from Great Britain stayed the longest 2.28 nights on average. Visitors from Finland stayed the shortest, spending 1.49 nights on average in Tallinn s accommodation establishments.

In August, the room occupancy rate in Tallinn s accommodation establishments was 78% (-1% compared to the same month last year). In August, 78% of rooms (-1%) were occupied in accommodation establishments, and the average cost was 41 euros (0%). In August 2015, the number of air passengers in Tallinn Airport increased by 12%. In August, Tallinn Airport served 234,237 passengers, which is 12% more than in the same period last year. In August, 1,104,555 passengers passed through Tallinn Old City Harbour, which compared to the same period in 2014 increased by 3,5%.
