Welcome families and review rules 12:00-1:00pm Boys and adults prepare and eat lunch; clean up After Lunch (1:00 to 5:00pm) Prepare G.O.R.P and go on nature hike Knot tying Tent building challenge Fire Building Play group game (Capture the Flag or Foosball) Dusk - Lower U.S. flag with ceremony Dinner (5:00-6:00pm) Boys and adults prepare dinner; eat as a group & cleanup Cooking After Dinner (6:00-8:00pm) Indoor Activities & Games Bingo Cup Challenge Catapults Marshmellow Challenge 8:00 pm Campfire, Skits, Songs 9:00 pm Cracker barrel 10:00 pm Lights out Day 2 (January 17th - Sunday) 7:00 am Reveille 7:15 am Raise U.S. flag ceremony. 7:30-8:30am Boys and adults prepare and eat breakfast; wash dishes 8:30 am Scavenger Hunt based on elements of the Scout Law 9:30 am Clean up campsite 10:00 am Lower U.S. flag with ceremony 10:30 am Leave camp, leave it in better condition that you found it Page 1 of 2 CAMPING

Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award Requirements: All ranks: Attend Cub Scout day camp or Cub Scout/Webelos Scout resident camp, plus do the following: Rank-specific Requirements: Tiger: Complete the Backyard Jungle adventure, and complete 4 outdoor activities. Wolf: Complete the Paws on the Path adventure and complete 5 outdoor activities. Bear: Complete the Bear Necessities adventure and complete 6 outdoor activities. Webelos: Complete the Webelos Walkabout adventure and complete 7 outdoor activities. Outdoor Activities (being completed during this Winter Campout) 1. Participate in a nature hike in your local area. 2. Explain the buddy system and tell what to do if lost. Explain the importance of cooperation. 3. Attend a pack overnighter. Be responsible by being prepared for the event. 4. Participate in an outdoor campfire program. Perform a skit, sing a song, or take part in a ceremony. 5. Participate in an outdoor interfaith or other worship service. 6. Invent an outside game and play it with friends for 30 minutes. Page 2 of 2

PACK CAMPING From the Mass Pike Directions to Moses 310 Birch Hill Rd. Russell, MA About 29 miles (45 minutes) Take Exit 3 Westfield. After the tolls take a right and head towards downtown Westfield on RT 10/202. From Westfield's downtown Take RT 20 WEST (the intersection with big CVS store) to RT 23 toward Blandford / Otis (left turn). Follow RT 23 to General Knox Road (take left immediately after BASE CAMP CONVENIENCE STORE onto General Knox Rd). Follow General Knox Rd over the crest, and then look for Birch Hill Rd on the right. (If you reach the lake you've gone too far!). Turn right onto Birch Hill Rd and follow the road into the reservation. Got GPS? Your target destination should be: 310 Birch Hill Rd, Russell, MA 01071
