Our park offer a variety of opportunitie to relax, unwind, and reate. The etablihment and operation of public park boot the local economy and civic pride while making town and citie more attractive place to work and live. Thi i undoubtedly true for our Tumwater community. Public park ate outide play opportunitie for all. They offer freh, clean air a we inaingly live in built-up environment. The need and value of park for port, reation, art, culture, ecology and biodiverity continue to be valued in the Tumwater community. When building new park and green pace, we apire to ate pace which will tand the tet of time and be loved by future generation. The Hitorical Park i Tumwater firt public park which wa built in 1980. More than 30 year later, we are till actively eeking opportunitie to enhance Tumwater park ytem. We undertand how highly valued open pace and park are and know that you enjoy the many opportunitie Tumwater park have to offer.
Athletic Field Reervation Tumwater Park and Reation ha occer and baeball field that are available for reervation. The City of Tumwater trive to accommodate a many intereted uer group a poible. However, priority ue i given to exiting allocation. Group requeting ue of athletic field will be charged for all approved and allocated time / game. Fee are non-refundable unle written notification i received at leat 14 day in advance. Tumwater Park and Reation i dedicated to improving the overall quality of port and athletic in Tumwater. We reerve the right to cloe any field, at any time, for maintenance purpoe or due to poor field condition. Play on field that are cloed or league/ team utilizing field on a drop-in bai without prior approval may reult in termination of preent and future ue. Activitie cheduled through the Park and Reation Department have priority ue of the athletic field. Park Rule All Tumwater city ordinance hall apply to, and be in full force and effect within, the public park. Alcoholic beverage and controlled ubtance are not allowed in city park. No peron i allowed to cut, remove or damage any flower, tree, hrub, or turf. No open fire are allowed within any public park.
Hitorical Park Shelter The City of Tumwater ha a reervable helter at Tumwater Hitorical Park. Reervation are for the helter only. A Hitorical Park Shelter reervation doe not reerve any additional park pace or parking pace. Shelter reervation include the covered picnic area, adjacent barbecue and urrounding brick area. All other park pace are open to the public for ue. The helter can accommodate up to 100 people. Parking i limited. There are 68 parking pace and 3 diabled parking pace in Hitorical Park. Carpooling i recommended. The helter ha 3 power outlet, each providing 20 amp maximum. There i one water ource. Shelter reervation are accepted annually on a firt-come, firt-erved bai for half-day or fullday period. Reervation for each year open on the firt buine day of the calendar year. Reervation fee are refundable minu a $10 cancellation fee. Cancellation mut be made within 14 day prior to the reervation to be eligible for a refund. No refund will be made due to inclement weather. Reervation are not confirmed until completed form and fee have been received. For date availability, pleae call Tumwater Park & Reation. If you have a large group or are intereted in hoting a public event at Hitorical Park, a pecial event permit application mut be completed and approved. No peron hall ue a city park for a public event without a pecial event permit. Park Rule cont... Dog are not allowed to run at large and mut be kept on a leah at all time. Hore are not allowed in city park except on paved area. Overnight parking or camping i not allowed. Motor vehicle may park only in deignated area. All trah mut be dipoed of in trah receptacle.
Henderon Houe Mueum wa built in 1905. Change have been made to the exterior, retoring many detail. Interior remain largely unaltered. The Henderon Houe Muum i currently cloed to the public. Croby Houe wa built by Nathaniel Croby III in 1860. The Daughter of the Pioneer have retored and furnihed the houe. Union Calvary Cemetery date from early Tumwater hitory. Member of the 1845 ettlement party are interred here. Although not formally dedicated until 1867, it ha the earliet burial plot in the county.
