Please expect an increase in air traffic due to passengers arriving and departing for the game. Winter Weather in the Metroplex There is a possibility of winter weather activity in the area over the weekend. Please be advised that there could be an increase in air traffic operations during the nighttime hours due to delays or diversions. Sports Outlook for the Week The Dallas Mavericks will have one home game this week on Friday January 16 th. The Dallas Stars will also have two home games this week on Tuesday January 13 th and Thursday January 15 th. Please be advised that there could be an increase in general aviation air traffic due to these games. Want to get involved? The Love Field Environmental Advisory Committee (LFEAC) meets quarterly. DALLAS LOVE FIELD COMMUNITY WEEKLY UPDATE January 10-January 16, 2014 2 Construction Updates Taxiway D between Taxiway C and Taxiway D1 was closed May 2013 as work continues for the next phase of the Love Field Modernization Project (LFMP). This phase of the project is expected to be completed in 2014 and it includes the demolition of Gates 4 through 15 of the west concourse and the baggage claim wing. Construction on Taxiway C continues and requires a lengthy portion to be closed along runway 13R/31L (Denton). This closure primarily affects arrivals in the south flow air traffic direction as it hinders arrivals on 13R/31L. Construction will continue through the first week of March 2015.Please see the airport diagram on page 3 for more information. Runway Closures Scheduled Runway Closures for Routine Maintenance No scheduled runway closures for the upcoming week. Scheduled Taxiway Closures for Routine Maintenance Taxiway B will be closed Wednesday January 14, 2015 at 11pm until Thursday January 15, 2015 at 5:00am for repairs on a drainage grate. Ongoing Airfield Closures The following taxiways will remain closed until further notice: Taxiway D closed lighted and barricaded between TWY D1 and RWY 13R/31L until Spring 2015. Taxiway C closed lighted and barricaded between TWY C3 and RWY 18/36 until Spring 2015. Taxiway C between C2 and D closed to aircraft with wingspan greater than 118ft; prior permission is required from Airport Operations. * Please see the airport diagram on the next page for locations of runways and taxiways.
