AUSTRALASIAN AIRPORTS REAL ESTATE & COMMERCIAL CONFERENCE 6 7 August 2015 Palm Cove, Cairns, Queensland, Australia
ABOUT THE AAREC 2015 CONFERENCE In early 2004, we recognised the need for the Airport Property Managers to get together to swap ideas and learn from each other. The first Australasian Airport Real Estate Conference (AAREC) was held in Brisbane in late 2004. At the conclusion of that conference it was decided to hold a conference each year at a different Australasian airport, with a key component of the conference being a tour of the hosting Airport. This gave all delegates the opportunity to see and learn first hand how different airports are responding to their airside demands, spatial constraints and regional growth and opportunities. Airports that have previously hosted the conference are: 2004 Brisbane 2005 Canberra 2006 Adelaide 2009 Brisbane 2010 Darwin 2011 Melbourne 2012 Canberra 2013 Auckland 2014 Perth 2015 Cairns. This Year the Conference travels to Palm Cove, North Queensland. Palm Cove is a beautiful location and the perfect venue for the 2015 conference. It is one of the many beautiful destinations that makes North Queensland a popular domestic and international tourist destination and major driver of PAX through Cairns Airport. The Conference will tour Cairns Airport to gain an insight into the strategies they have developed and implemented to respond to their opportunities. We hope you can join us in Cairns in August 2015. Yours faithfully CAIRNS AIRPORT Cairns Airport is one of Australia s leading regional airports, providing air links to a range of domestic and international locations.
