On 16 August 1945 the Viet Minh run Citizens Committee announced that it had taken over the city from a balcony on this building. Built between 1925 and 1932, this architecturally impressive museum was formerly home to the École Française d Extrême-Orient. Its architect, Ernest Hebrard, was among the first in Vietnam to incorporate a blend of Chinese and French design elements resulting in a visually stunning building and a truly outstanding dinner venue. DAY 3 A UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE HA LONG BAY Breakfast at the hotel before departing for Hai Pong, approximately 2 hours from Hanoi On arrival at Hai Pong guests will embark their Dual Private Charter Orchid Boats Transfer by tender to the ORCHID CRUISE. Welcome Drink, receive cruise briefing, safety instructions and check in. Start cruising and explore Halong Bay - one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature. ORCHID CRUISE boats proceeds to Da Chong islet, where you can see a lighthouse built by the French over 100 years ago. This area is untouched, as not many cruise ships use the route via the Cat Ba Island - Thoi Quyt area - Coc Ngoi islet - through Cua Van to Ba Trai Dao area. We progress to Ba Trai Dao beach area of Lan Ha Bay- a separate part of Halong Bay. This is a quiet tourist paradise in Vietnam. The region is known for its pristine beaches and spectacular beauty, having about 400 fascinating islands 18h00 -It s time to try the authentic well-known local liquor as Ba Kich liquor (Morinda officinalis). This is a kind of wealthy and tasty liquor which is really highly recommending liquor in Viet Nam. You might never forget this lovely purple liquor Returning to the ORCHID CRUISE boats you can watch the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. Onboard you may join a traditional cooking class. DAY 4 MORNING CRUISING HA LONG BAY 06h00 - Why not rise early to witness the bay at its very best whilst enjoying an invigorating Tai Chi session on the sundeck; after which we serve breakfast. Upon completing breakfast we continue our journey and head out in canoes to explore the bay in the area where the Sang Toi sea cave is situated. 9h30 - Guests return to ORCHID CRUISE boats for check-out procedures Whilst cruising back to port you can enjoy a delightful brunch 10h30 - Tea Ceremony is served at the restaurant. You will learn how to enjoy Vietnamese tea and Vietnamese cultural at this ceremony. Joining Tea Ceremony with our crews team and have great fun with us! 11h35 - We return to the quay side in the south of the bay, where guests disembark. DAY 4 EVENING GALA DINNER AT THE TEMPLE OF LITERATURE 18:30 19:00 As a final evening in Vietnam something a little special Dinner at the Temple Of Literature The Temple of Literature honours Vietnam's finest scholars. Founded in 1070 by Emperor Ly Thanh Tong, the attractive complex is dedicated to Confucius (Khong Tu) and was the site of Vietnam's first university (1076). Its truly magical evening as lanterns lite up this historic venue and hostesses guide you through the complex to the central area where cocktail and canapes will be served. 22:00 Drums beat to signal that dinner is ready to be served and heavy red doors are swung open to reveal another courtyard decked in lanterns A sumptuous Gala Dinner is served and the drinks re free flowing Entertainment is Dragon Dancing accompanied by traditional music The evening will come to a close at about 10pm when clients will be transported back to the hotel for a nightcap.
