Camp Description Summer Recreational Sports Camp attendees will enjoy pre-planned activities administered by Camp counselors. Our goal is to help children develop social, physical and health-conscious attitudes in a positive and cooperative atmosphere. Activities will include: Word of the Day and Leadership discussions, Recreational Games, Dance Fitness Activities, Planetarium visit, Fine Arts Showcase, and more!
Drop off 7:30-8:00 a.m. Camp Counselors will be posted outside the Rec Center parking lot to escort campers to the Rec Center facility. Campers should arrive in comfortable athletic attire, including proper footwear. No sandals or open toe shoes should be worn. Leadership & Word of the Day 8:00-8:30 a.m. Campers will enjoy learning the seven effective leadership habits through activities aligned with the educational standards and skills for the 21st Century elementary and middle school students. Younger campers will learn various words and encouraged to display those qualities. Words such as honesty, integrity, discipline, etc. Group Games (all ages) 8:30-9:00 a.m. Games such as Relay Races, Color Tag, Octopus Tag, Alien Invasion, Chain Tag, and various others.
Individual Group Games (by age group) 9:00-9:30 a.m. These games will be defined by age group. Games include Flag Basketball, Monkey Soccer, Explosion, Fish-Bear- Mosquito, Midnight, Cage-Ball, Beach Volleyball, and much more! Dance Fitness & Lifetime Sport Development 9:30-10:00 a.m. Campers will alternate between days to learn how to dance various genres of music, including Country line dances, Latino Cumbias, and current dance hits. For fun and fitness that lasts a lifetime, campers will also develop basic skills in two lifetime sports: Golf & Pickle-Ball. Snack 10:00-10:35 a.m. A healthy snack will be provided to campers. However, one may choose to pack a snack and bring it to Camp in a labeled lunch box/bag.
Fine Arts 10:35-11:05 a.m. Each age group will practice and rehearse skits developed by their Camp counselors. On the last day of Camp, parents, family, and friends will be invited to Camp to witness their children s various talents. Individual Group Games 11:05-11:30 a.m. Shining Camper Recognition 11:35-11:55 a.m. Recognition will be given to the campers who display the daily leadership topics throughout Camp. End of Camp/Pickup 12:00 p.m. Camp Counselors will escort campers from the Recreational Center back to the parking lot. Campus employees can request their child to be dropped off at their campus offices.
