We have a strong track record of delivering successful projects for diversified companies across all resources and commodities. Boggabri Coal Project Idemitsu Australia Resources Commodity & Location: Coal, New South Wales Contract Value: $780M Scope of Work: Contract mining and equipment maintenance We were awarded a 5-year contract to deliver mining and equipment maintenance services at the Boggabri coal mine. The project produces up to 7 million tonnes per annum of saleable coal, and will continue until 2033. South Middleback Ranges Arrium Mining Commodity & Location: Iron Ore, South Australia Contract Value: $1.1B Scope of Work: Drill and blast, load and haul Whyalla has been a site of continuous iron ore mining and steel production for more than 100 years. Today, BGC Contracting provides a critical and cost-efficient mining service within Arrium s steel production and iron ore export business. Koolyanobbing Cliffs Natural Resources Commodity & Location: Iron Ore, Western Australia Contract Value: $2.5B Scope of Work: Mineral processing, drill and blast, load and haul, road train haulage, maintenance services The Koolyanobbing Iron Ore Project is located in the Yilgarn region, approximately 400km northeast of Perth in Western Australia. Our contract has been renewed three times since 2004 a testament to our ability to serve a client s needs for an extended term. 4 BGC Contracting
Mount Webber Atlas Iron Limited Commodity & Location: Iron Ore, Western Australia Contract Value: $230M Scope of Work: Mineral processing, drill and blast, load and haul, ore blending stockpile management Mt. Webber is Atlas second major greenfield project, located near Marble Bar in the Pilbara region. BGC provides a whole of operation service, from mine development, mining operations, and processing, to producing DSO via a BOO crush and screen circuit. Phosphate Hill Incitec Pivot Ltd Commodity & Location: Phosphate, Queensland Contract Value: $110M Scope of Work: Mining, load and haul, drill and blast, crusher feed The Phosphate Hill project is located 900km west of Townsville. Phosphate rock is mined, stockpiled, and crushed from a series of open cut pits. The project will last 60 months, and we aim to mine a total of 27 million BCM. Nolan s East Gold Project Carpentaria Gold Commodity & Location: Gold, Queensland Contract Value: $20M Scope of Work: Mining, load and haul, drill and blast We undertook the re-establishment of the Nolan s East gold mine to provide feed to the mill, in anticipation of approvals for the Sarsfield expansion. The project will last 15 months, and we aim to move 2.7 million BCM of materials. Koolan Island Project Mt Gibson Iron Ltd Commodity & Location: Iron Ore, Western Australia Contract Value: $385M Scope of Work: Drill and blast, load and haul, mine infrastructure BGC Contracting provided the full scope of services from start-up. We mined a total of 59 million BCM of ore and waste material through a workforce of 250. The contract also covered key infrastructure components of the project. Mining Capability Statement 5
Mine infrastructure projects In addition to our mining operations services, we also have extensive experience in the delivery of greenfield mining infrastructure. We excel in sustaining and expanding capital works across Australia and within various commodity sectors, including coal, iron ore, gold, and nickel. We have a strong track record of delivering successful projects and gaining repeat business from blue chip clients such as BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, and AngloAmerican Coal. Kestrel Coal Project Rio Tinto Commodity & Location: Coal, Queensland Contract Value: $85M Scope of Work: Bulk earthworks, mine infrastructure Two separate contracts with RTCA Kestrel totalled $85M of infrastructure works over 18 months of construction activities. The works were associated with the expansion activities at Kestrel, including the overland conveyor and portal entry development. Sonoma QCoal Commodity & Location: Coal, Queensland Contract Value: $23M Scope of Work: Bulk earthworks, infrastructure, structural concrete The Sonoma mine, located in the northern Bowen Basin, produces up to four million tonnes of hard coking and thermal coal products each year. BGC Contracting assisted in the design and construction of on-site infrastructure for the project. Grosvenor AngloAmerican Coal Commodity & Location: Coal, Queensland Contract Value: $50M Scope of Work: Bulk earthworks, roads, bridge and water infrastructure, stockpile pads BGC Contracting played an instrumental role in the development of the $2B Grosvenor coal project. The contract included site infrastructure works which commenced with clear and grub, right through to roadway, water and conveyor foundation works. 6 BGC Contracting
Clermont Coal Rio Tinto Coal Australia (RTCA) Commodity & Location: Coal, Queensland Contract Value: $94M Scope of Work: Bulk earthworks, road, bridge and water infrastructure, structural concrete, conveyor formation BGC Contracting s performance under the first package of work led to the award of two further packages at the Clermont greenfield coal mine development. This is testament to BGC Contracting s ability to meet client expectations and gain repeat work across 3 RTCA coal projects. Sino Iron MCC Mining Commodity and Location: Iron Ore, Western Australia Contract Value: $215M Scope of Work: Bulk earthworks, structural concrete This iconic project is the largest magnetite mining and processing operation in Australia. Sino Iron produces high quality magnetite iron ore and is one of China s largest investments into the Australian resources sector. The scope for the project was comprised of more than 100,000m 3 of structural concrete to complete numerous structures integral to the project. Roy Hill Package 3 Samsung C&T Commodity & Location: Iron Ore, Western Australia Contract Value: $450M Scope of Work: Bulk earthworks, infrastructure - bridges and roads, structural concrete After completing construction of the aerodrome, roads and rail for one of the largest mining projects in Australia s history, BGC Contracting was awarded another contract to progress the Port Landside component of the project a purpose-built iron ore port facility. Project Aurora Dyno Nobel/Incitec Pivot Commodity & Location: Ammonium Nitrate, Queensland Contract Value: $955M (D&C) Scope of Work: Bulk earthworks, roads, bridge and water infrastructure, structural concrete Project Aurora is a multi-disciplinary joint venture between BGC Contracting, United Group Resources, and Lend Lease for the design and construction of a $955M ammonium nitrate production facility in Moranbah Queensland.
