You heard about the food last year, now come and experience it for your self. You won t be disappointed. Bring friends and family. Admission is $20 at the door. MEMBERSHIP/DUES We are currently at full membership: 135 active, 50 life members with 8 people on the wait list. DUES A reminder that dues need to be paid by February 28, 2017. Dues can be paid at the following: January and February monthly meetings BOD Meetings in January and February At the club on 1/11, 1/25,2/15, 2/28 6-9pm At the club on 1/21, 2/25 10am-1pm GUN RAFFLE Another 31 day gun raffle will be held March 2017. Ross VanAnden is chairing it. Ross reports 3/4 of the tickets are out for sale. To join the group, go to Facebook and under groups search for the group Greenhaven Fish & Game Association, Inc. Make your request to join and once accepted you will be allowed to view and post within the group. Only members will be able to see posts made within the group. DECEMBER MEETING SUMMARY Observed a moment of silence for Life Member R. Prusakowski. Budgets for 2017 are due at the January meeting. Additional cameras have been added to the range. Garbage not being picked up/removed, still a problem. 50 and 75 yard target posts are being altered to 6 feet to compensate for the 2 foot in ground mounting. No discharge of weapons outside of the building. Snow removal will be addressed. Archery looking to purchase some new targets. With respect to the death of a member, members are reminded to make every effort to notify a board member if they are aware of a members death and the club conduct a service at the wake. Presence is needed. ROBO calling suggested. Ways and Means Bill has asked John to turn over last years records. A new chair will be assigned. The holiday dinner at the December meeting was pork, potatoes, and green beans. Steak Bake gun raffle will be run by Ben Olivera. 31 Day Gun Raffle- Ross reports 3/4 of the tickets are out for sale. Drawing in March. Big Buck Dinner is 1/14/17 @ 1:00pm. Donations look good Thank You. Jackets and Shirts Stock available and Jacket orders are being taken. Work Hours Remember to see the chair for credit and sign in. Chairs must report to the work hours Chair. Hours are counted from 12/1/15-11/30/16. If you are a Jr. or a Sr., please sign it that way and please sign legibly. Federation-3 applications were received by the club and Pat Kiernan Jr. was selected. The club will host one boy and one girl each year. No girl submitted this year. Federation dinner is 1/28/17, $45/person. Motion for the club to send 2 members to the dinner approved. The club won $1000 at the Federation Dinner. Motion to donate $100 to the DEC Officer shot by a poacher. Whortlekill Gun Club is hosting a pasta dinner to benefit the DEC officer shot. Everyone encouraged to go. Motion to donate 2 Steak Bake tickets for the Federation raffle approved. Looking to purchase new targets FEDERATION Pat Kiernan Jr. selected to attend the camp. MERCHANDISE Stock available and Jacket orders are being taken. PROPERTY POSTING Some signs are down and 4 wheelers are riding on Pegasus property. Chris will evaluate. RANGE Additional cameras have been added. Garbage cleanup still remains a problem. NO SHOOTING IS ALLOWED OUTSIDE OF THE RANGE HOUSES. ALL SHOOTING MUST BE DONE FROM INSIDE THE RANGE HOUSES. Range sign in book is mandatory. If you use the range, sign the range book and the house book and put up the flag. Remove the flag and sign out in both books when you finish. House sign in book will be moved to the downstairs entrance. Range cameras are now working. Clean up your brass mandatory and remove any trash you bring with you. SPROUT CREEK GROUNDS Work day scheduled, inside and out, for January 7, 2017 starting at 8:00am. COMMITTEES CALENDAR/FACILITY RENTAL No update. HUNTER EDUCATION Just a reminder to check the DEC website prior to hunting. Changes are made to hunting regulations after the books are printed up. NEWSLETTER Please contact the Newsletter for any information you would like to see in the newsletter. PUBLIC RELATIONS Members are reminded to notify a board member as soon as possible when aware of a death of a member so that the club can organize a service at the wake. SPROUT CREEK KITCHEN Holiday dinner was held at the December meeting and was delicious. SPROUT CREEK HOUSE Work day scheduled, inside and out, for January 7, 2017. STONY CREEK Mice problem being addressed. Camp is winterized. Don t forget to follow directions when closing up the house. WAYS & MEANS Bill has asked John to turn over last years records. A new Chair will be assigned. WORK HOURS Work hours have been posted through November 30th. Just a reminder that the work hour year goes from December 1st through November 30th. Any hours after November 30th of one year counts for next year.

Please send an e-mail to the Board Members and copy the Town Clerk. Pass this along, we need all the help we can get. Even if you are not a Philipstown resident, your e-mail counts. GREENHAVEN FISH AND GAME ASSOCIATION NEWSLETTER page 7 of 7 Archery Series to Be Held at Bowdoin Park this Winter The Dutchess County Parks Division will once again be offering weekend archery sessions at Bowdoin Park throughout the winter season. Sessions will be offered in two groups in order to accommodate additional participants. Group A sessions will begin on Saturday, January 14th and Group B sessions will begin on Saturday, January 7th. The sessions are designed for children ages 8 and up and adults with any level of archery experience. Space is limited, registration is required. County Executive Marc Molinaro said, Here is a fun and educational way to stay active this winter! Bowdoin Park s archery series continue to be a popular activity for novices and seasoned pros to practice their skills and learn more about the sport. If you haven t had the chance to attend one of these sessions at one of Dutchess County s beautiful parks, consider signing up today! Both group sessions consist of five classes, each an hour long. The first session will cover basic archery safety and skills for new participants. The majority of the sessions will be spent practicing with the bows, allowing participants to learn through experience. The cost for the program is $50 per person which includes all five classes. Equipment will be provided at no additional charge. Sessions will be held in the auditorium at Bowdoin Park.
