Welcome Camp at Chesterbrook Academy offers fun-filled summer programs for children in Rising 1 st Rising 6 th Grades. Each week, campers jump into action as they participate in outdoor and indoor games and sports, get messy with exciting science projects, become involved in performing and creative arts, learn sportsmanship and teamwork, attend special events, and explore the natural world around them. Our campers have the opportunity to embark on fun adventures while expanding their horizons during the summer. Our exceptional program and dedicated staff create an environment that forges lifelong friendships among our campers and create a summer experience that is unforgettable! It all starts with our outstanding camp counselors. A camp is only as good as its staff, and we are extremely proud of ours. Talent, creativity, love of children, leadership and devotion make our camp counselors the heart and soul of the program. We take our camp programs seriously and our staff members have been trained well to provide the best experience for your child. Camp counselors and specialists are doing exactly what they enjoy most: spending a summer inspiring campers to explore, reach for new heights, and expand their horizons. Camp at Chesterbrook Academy gives you choices. Camp includes five days of activities, from 8:30 am 4:30 pm, with extended care available at no cost. We offer a range of outdoor activities, as well as indoor activities conducted in our fully air conditioned facility. You can also choose to add specialty camps, optional swim lessons and even catered lunch. These additional enrichment options operate during regular camp hours, which offer even more choices for our campers and provide a convenient parent experience. Campers will engage in unique, activity blocks that focus on fun and offer relevant, meaningful experiences! Each block is an opportunity to engage, explore and make sense of the natural world through inquiry and project-based learning. Activity Blocks Invention Convention Calling all inventors! We know our campers have big ideas and we want to see them in action. Invention Convention will focus on brainstorming, designing and sharing invention ideas. Digital Vision Campers explore the tools necessary to capture great images and videos, and refine them through digital imaging. Minute to Win It Campers will get a thrill from working together to complete fun, and sometimes silly, tasks all before time runs out on the clock. Ready, set, go! Express Yourself Let your hidden talents shine! Campers develop creativity and confidence through singing, dancing, acting and more. Rise Up Dream it. Build it. Wreck it. Repeat! Campers build elaborate objects, structures and vehicles, while exploring fundamental principles of engineering and physics. Recycled Beautifully Our campers will see how one person's trash can be another person's treasure by turning recycled materials into beautiful and useful items. STEAM Academy Challenging and fun projects encourage collaboration, decision making, and innovation. Students work together to solve problems, while developing a love of science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Leave a Legacy Campers learn about how they can be heroes in their communities, and find creative ways to give back to those in need. Game Changer We hope our campers are ready for some good old fashioned fun. They ll have a blast building their skills in a variety of indoor and outdoor games. Food for Thought Campers learn kitchen fundamentals and culinary techniques as they slip on their aprons and create yummy snacks. They'll be a master chef in no time! Domino Tricks The game of dominoes is fun, but we have a little twist in store for our campers. We are challenging campers to come up with their best domino toppling tricks. Master Maker From painting, to sculpting, to drawing and more, campers are empowered to express their inner artist and let their imaginations soar.
