2015 Daniel Boone Day Camp Activities The Daniel Boone Day Camp staff has been busy at work, planning an awesome experience for the Scouts. Some of the activities planned are listed below: Moon Water Slide: Scouts will have a thrill sliding down one of the craters of the Moon. This hill slide will be wet and wild, challenging the scouts all the way to the crater s bottom. Hopefully they have good solar protection as they enjoy this activity. They will also need to learn to walk on the Moon s surface with a lower gravity using a rope climb to get back to the top. Launch Time!: Scouts will travel to NASA for a thrilling Rocket building experience. Scouts will learn some basics of how rockets work while having the fun of building their own Rockets. Achievements Adventure: Scouts will adventure in various activities to help them earn adventures as part of the new Cub Scout Program. Alien BB Shoot: Scouts with adult supervision will be able to shoot at Alien bugs that may invade Earth. The more times you hit the bugs, the more points you earn for your Pack. Star Ship Archery Shoot: Scouts with adult supervision will be able to shoot at Star ships. The Alien bugs need to get to Earth somehow. Most travel in Star ships. The more times you hit the Star ships, the more points you earn for your Pack. Space Games: These space themed games will be a challenge to all, involving physical fitness, imagination and good old fashioned fun. Asteroid Confidence Course: Scouts can challenge themselves in a course designed to promote physical fitness and agility. Cross crevasse and mountain ranges on the Asteroid. Each crossing within the time allotted for your Pack earns you more points. Save Earth Nature Walk: Scouts will be able to walk the Daniel Boone Homestead s trails, pond edge, water fall, and stream investigating all that nature has to offer. Record your findings to catalog Earth s species before Aliens destroy their environment. The more species recorded, the more points awarded. Extra points awarded for both common names and Genus/Species names. Science Scouts: Scouts will be able to explore the mysteries of science in this hands on science adventure full of challenge and fun experiments. Star Lab Orienteering: Scouts will be able to explore the planets, moons, and constellations in the Star Lab. Chart your course through space to the nearest three Alien planets and return to Earth with cargo to save our planet.

Cub Scout roster forms. 2. Adult/Sibling roster forms. 4. Final Transmittal Form Registration material must be turned in at the Council Service Center by May 31 with final payment. Turning these registration forms in early allows the camp management to plan more effectively. Leadership Since your pack will be divided into three advancement levels (Lion/Tiger, Wolf, and Bear), each Pack must provide 1 adult per level per day or 2 if you have more than 10 boys for the Wolf Den and Bear Den. Each Lion Cub and Tiger must have an adult partner. For example, if you have 3 Tigers, 6 Wolves, and 11 Bears, your pack will need 3 adult leaders for the Tigers, 1 adult leader for the Wolves, and 2 adult leaders for the Bears. Please make every attempt to secure a Den Chief for your pack. This will help in many areas in camp especially at the bath house. There is not a WEBELOS Trail for Day Camp. WEBELOS are to attend WEBELOS Resident Camp. Schedule The Satellite Day Camp Program day begins promptly at 8:50 AM and ends at 3:50 PM Monday - Friday. Check-in for units begins at 8:15 AM. This is critical to the success of the entire camp, as the start of programs for all Cub Scouts may be delayed. Your daily schedule will be shared with your leaders upon arrival. A leader will check the pack in and complete the daily roster each morning. The following completed items should be turned in during Monday Check-in: Cub Scout Roster Adult/Sibling Roster Health Forms (Part A&B) for all in attendance that week Lunches Each Scout/Leader is required to pack a lunch. Packs should bring a cooler to keep lunches cool.
Clothing The boys should wear comfortable clothing suited to the weather conditions. Pack tee shirts are a special way to have your boys recognized. Please be sure to mark all clothing articles with name and Pack number. Camp activities include a lot of walking to the various activity areas. Comfortable shoes are highly recommended. Shoes must be closed toe and closed heel. Sandals, flip flops and crocs are not permitted unless specified otherwise (example: Ecology may recommend sandals for a session spent at the stream). Every day each boy must bring: swim suit, towel, and rain gear. A baseball cap is recommended. A light backpack is recommended for carrying personal gear. Each boy should bring a water bottle. It is recommended that Scouts label their belongings with their name and pack number. Reminder: Satellite Day Camp is conducted rain or shine! Please plan accordingly.
