Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 06/25/2016 3:12am 23000 Lahser Rd. (Commercial- Party Store) The front door was pulled out of the business with a chain & rope. Officers responded to alarm at business. After arriving on scene officers observed the front door and glass had been smashed out. Surveillance video from business showed a newer Black Dodge Durango pulled into the parking lot from S/B Lahser. The vehicle backed up to the double doors of the store. One suspect exited the vehicle and hooked a rope & chain to the store doors. A second suspect also exited the vehicle. The vehicle pulled forward and tore the two front doors out of the store. Three suspects entered the store and ran straight towards the ATM located inside the store. The fourth suspect (driver) unhooked the rope/chain from the doors while the other suspects stole the ATM. The three suspects inside the store dragged the ATM out of the store and loaded it into the trunk of the Durango. The vehicle fled south on Lahser, paused at the light at Nine Mile & Lahser, then continued south on Lahser. 06/25/2016 8:17am 21000 Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Towing) Business Tow Truck was used to pull the bars out of a window to business. Officers were dispatched to business in the 21000 Block of Telegraph Rd. (Towing Company) on a B&E Alarm. Officers arrived on scene and observed a broken window on the north side of the building. Surveillance video shows suspect in the fenced in yard of business. Suspect is observed starting one of the businesses tow trucks, connecting a tow cable to the bars on window to business and pulling the bars out of the window. Suspect is then scene entering the business, going into the office area and then leaving the business through the business door. It was later discovered by Officers that the suspect matched the description of subject that was arrested earlier and his vehicle was impounded at business. The suspect after he was released went to the business when it was closed to try and get his car back. The suspect was positively identified and was arrested at a later date. Unlocked Apartment door. 21000 Rose Hollow Dr. Front door was kicked in. Victim states sometime between 7:30pm and 12:15am someone entered apartment by removing screen from her bedroom window. Victim discovered later that her cell phone was missing. Victim reports she left home at 11:30am. When her daughter returned home at 6:00pm she found the front door had been kicked open. Suspect(s) concentrated mainly on the master bedroom where several dresser drawers were gone through. Several items of jewelry were taken. Victim reports she left the vehicle unlocked. She has two sets of keys, none are in her possession. Victim left one key in the vehicle under on the front passenger seat. Sometime between 12:01am- 9:30am someone took her vehicle. It is unknown how entry was gained into the vehicle. The vehicle was locked. No suspect information.

(Hotel) Status A Attempt Only Manufacturer CHRYSLER Model TOWN AND COUNTRY Color RED - Red Vehicle Year 2006 Body Style State MI License Year Description 2006 CHRY TOWN AND COUNTRY MINIVAN Status SR - Both Stolen And Recovered Manufacturer TOYOTA Model SCION XB Color SIL - Silver or Aluminum Vehicle Year 2009 Description Black Toyota Scion Recovered Date/Time 06/24/2016 8:15 Victim states sometime over the past few days someone attempted to steal his vehicle. The driver s door handle and the ignition were damaged on his 2006 Chrysler Town & Country. Vehicle was parked at victims Apartment Complex. Victim stated that her keys were stolen from the hotel room as well as multiple documents from the vehicle itself. Victim suspects one of her friends took the vehicle. Victim received information later that her vehicle had been involved in a Hit & Run Accident in another jurisdiction. Officers investigating contacted other jurisdiction and confirmed that the vehicle had been involved in a Hit & Run Accident and the vehicle was impounded. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation.

From: 06/24/2016 11:00pm To: 06/25/2016 9:00am 18000 Greenwald Dr. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer CHRYSLER Model Voyager Color SIL - Silver or Aluminum Vehicle Year 2003 Body Style State MI License Year 2016 Description Mini Van Victim states she was at her parent s residence and spent the night, parking her vehicle in the driveway around 11:00pm. The vehicle wasn t locked and victim maintained the keys to vehicle. The following morning at 9:00am victim discovered that someone had taken her vehicle. Victim states the vehicle can easily be started because the ignition switch is loose and can be turned to start without the keys. Victim believes her former boyfriend took the vehicle without her consent because they recently broke up and have been fighting. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

Victim states she parked her vehicle at her Office Building in the 26000 Block of Northwestern at 10:00pm. Victim returned to her vehicle at 12:25am and discovered her driver s side window broken out and her Navigation System was taken from the dashboard. 06/21/2016 2:34am 27000 Northwestern (Hotel) Navigation System was taken from 2016 Chevy Traverse. Hotel staff located Larceny at 2:34am. The vehicles driver s side window was broken out and the Navigation System was removed from the dashboard. No suspect information at this time. 06/21/2016 6:57am 15000 Meadowood Purse with contents. On today's date between 3:00am and 6:55am, unknown suspect(s), stole victim s purse out of her unlocked vehicle. The vehicle was parked in the 15000 Block of Meadowood.

06/21/2016 1:30am 29000 Northwestern (Commercial- Fast Food) Stereo was taken from 2015 Dodge. Victim states his vehicle was parked at business in the 29000 Block of Northwestern. Victim states at 1:30am he returned to the vehicle and discovered that the passenger side window was broken out and his stereo had been taken. Surveillance video shows a Black Sedan occupied by 2 individuals. No further info. From: 06/21/2016 10:00pm To: 06/22/2016 7:30am 25000 Saint James (Residential- Condo s) Computer with Charger, Laptop Bag & Reading Glasses was taken from victims 2012 Jeep. Victim states sometime between 10:00pm and the following morning at 7:30am someone threw a brick through the driver s door window and took several items from the vehicle. Another person from residence stated they heard a loud noise at 12:30am. They looked outside at that time and didn t see anything unusual. From: 06/20/2016 10:00pm To: 06/22/2016 8:30am 27000 Northwestern (Hotel) Stereo/ Navigation System was taken from Chrysler Town & Country. Victim states he parked his rental vehicle, Chrysler Town & Country at 10:00pm. The following morning at 8:30am victim discovered that the driver s door window had been broken out and the Stereo/ Navigation System were taken. Vehicle was parked at Hotel in the 27000 Block of Northwestern Hwy.

06/23/2016 4:58am (2- vehicles were attacked) 06/23/2016 6:12am 17000 Louise St. Headphones were taken from Ford Fusion and recovered. A cell phone was taken from the Dodge Charger. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> In incidents such as these citizens should immediately call 911 and report as much information as they can about suspects, descriptions and suspect vehicles. Don t confront suspects or say anything to them. This will only scare them away!!!! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 23000 Rutland Ave. Wallet was taken and recovered. Witness (neighbor) stated that she looked out her window and noticed two males across the street trying door handles in her neighbor s driveway. Witness stated she yelled at the two males and they both fled eastbound from the driveway. Witness stated that both males were wearing long pants and dark hoodies. The homeowner at residence stated that all three cars in the driveway were unlocked overnight. Taken from the Ford Fusion was a pair of Headphones, which were recovered and given back to the owner. A cell phone was taken from victims Dodge Charger and was not recovered. Officers recovered a wallet in the driveway in the 17000 Block of Louise St. Officers were investigating other LFA s in the area when they recovered wallet. Officers located the owner of the wallet. He had his wallet in an unlocked rental car in the driveway in the 23000 Block of Rutland Ave. Victim looked through the wallet and stated that there was nothing missing from it.

From: 06/23/2016 6:00pm To: 06/24/2016 9:00am 24000 Auburn Ln. (Residential- Condo s) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2012 Ford Edge. Victim advises sometime between 6:00pm and the following morning at 9:00am someone took All Four Wheels & Tires from her 2012 Ford Edge. From: 06/23/2016 9:00pm To: 06/24/2016 7:30am 24000 Northwestern (Hotel) Attempt B&E of Auto. Entry wasn t made. Victim states someone tried to break into the vehicle with a pry tool, and severely cracked the driver s door window and damaged the door frame around the window. The window was not broken out and no entry was gained into the vehicle. Nothing was missing from the vehicle. No suspect information was available. 06/26/2016 9:43am 26000 American Dr. (Hotel) 1-Wheel & Tire was taken from Ford Explorer. Victim states sometime between 10:30pm and the following morning at 9:15am someone stole one (1) Wheel & Tire from her Ford Explorer. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked

Be on the Look Out Highlights: Special Attention: Larceny from Auto s Several LFA s occurred over the past week. Most occurred in Hotel or Apartment Complexes. Some of the incidents occurred in residential neighborhoods as well. Residents that have garages are encouraged to park their vehicles inside their garages and close/ lock the overhead and side entrance doors. Most of the incidents are occurring late night or early morning when it is dark out. Residents that see or hear anything suspicious during these times should call 911. Without letting the suspects know you re watching give the Police Dispatch as much information about the suspect(s), suspect vehicle information and location. Stay on the phone with dispatch because they may have questions until the Officers arrive on scene. Officers were on routine patrol in the parking lot of business when observing passenger of vehicle littering out the window of vehicle and was driving erratically through the parking lot. The vehicle was stopped. During the stop there was a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle. The driver was removed from the vehicle and stated there was marijuana in the vehicle that everyone in the vehicle was going to smoke. Five additional occupants were also removed from the vehicle. A Southfield Police K-9 Unit arrived on scene and conducted a sweep of the vehicle with his K-9. K-9 alerted on several area s in the interior of the vehicle including a purse. Suspected marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy were recovered from the vehicle. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician conducted Field Tests on the suspected substances. Results were Positive for possible presence of marijuana and cocaine. The ecstasy test was inconclusive at this time. 3- Arrests were made.

A&B/ Possession of Cocaine- 1- Arrest 06/23/2016 6:45pm 27000 Block of Northwestern Hwy (Hotel) Officers were dispatched to Hotel on report from Southfield FD of a woman bleeding with suspicious circumstances. Officer s investigation revealed that the female was a prostitute, her boyfriend who had rented the room assaulted her and there was cocaine and narcotics paraphernalia discovered inside the hotel room. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested the suspected Cocaine. Result was positive for possible presence of Cocaine. Victim s boyfriend was arrested for Domestic A&B and Possession of Cocaine. Domestic F/A- 1- Arrest 06/22/2016 5:48am 19000 Block of Melrose Ave. Officers responded to location on report of Domestic Assault. Officers arrived; both combatants and witnesses were interviewed. Investigation revealed that victims live in boyfriend accused victim of cheating. Boyfriend physically assaulted victim until victim s mother was awakened and assisted with getting boyfriend off her daughter. Boyfriend produced a kitchen knife and threatened victim and her mother. The victims boyfriend was arrested for Domestic F/A.

Possession of Heroin/ Narcotics Paraphernalia- 2- Arrest 06/24/2016 6:46pm Lahser Rd. & Rose Hollow Dr. Officers conducted traffic stop for a traffic violation at location. After the stop Officers recalled previous contact (narcotics) with the driver. A Southfield Police K-9 Unit responded to scene and her K-9 did a sweep of the vehicle. K-9 positively alerted to several area s within the vehicle and the driver s wallet. Officers recovered an empty hypodermic needle from the driver s sock. The driver was arrested for drug paraphernalia. Officers searched the vehicle and found another hypodermic needle under the passenger door trim where the passenger was seated. The hypodermic needle was full of suspected heroin. There was also 4 Adderall pills with the needle. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested the suspected Heroin. The result was positive for possible presence of heroin. The passenger was arrested for Possession of Heroin.

Fleeing & Eluding/ Resisting Officer- 1- Arrest 06/25/2016 6:43pm Northwestern Hwy & Rutland Ave Officer initiated a traffic stop on N/B Northwestern Service Dr. N/ of Northland Dr. The vehicle failed to stop and began to accelerate. Officer activated his lights & emergency siren and the vehicle continued to gain speed. The vehicle continued to flee N/B Northwestern through the red light at JL Hudson and again through the red light at North Park Dr. on Northwestern Service Dr. The vehicle merged onto N/B Rutland from Northwestern and made an abrupt turn into the rear parking lot of the Oakland Community College Campus. The vehicle came to a stop and the female driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Officer gave chase and caught up to the female as she attempted to climb over a fence. Officer attempted to take suspect into custody and she resisted arrest. Additional Officers arrived and assisted with taking suspect into custody. The suspect later also fought with jail personnel.
