SUMMARY Congress & Event Organization Company successfully opened the 10 th annual edition of the International Education Fair, which was held between the 21-22 nd of April 2016 in Pallati i Rinisë dhe Sporteve, Prishtina. This activity is actually the only education promotion event in the country, and this year had the support of two very important institutions: The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kosovo, and the Education Department of the Municipality of Prishtina. It is also worth mentioning the cooperation between CEO and the Agency for Education and Professional Training of Adults of Kosovo. The Agency took initiative and supported all the centers of competence to participate as exhibitors in the Education Fair. Within its two days, the fair managed to attract a high number of exhibitors from all the fields of educational institutions: primary and high schools. All the professional high schools of the Municipality of Prishtina participated in the fair, as well as all the centers of competence from all the territory of Kosovo, higher educational institutions like colleges and universities, training centers, language courses, scholarship providing institutions, employment institutions and other foreign and local educational associations. Such participation has attracted a high number of pupils, students, parents and all other decisionmaking factors that participated as visitors, and were from the territory of Kosovo and beyond. The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education, Science and Technology Mr. Arsim Bajrami and the Director of Education Department of the Municipality of Prishtina Mrs. Arbërie Nagavci. Minister Bajrami stated that this Education Fair offers a good opportunity for students and schools for exchanging products and experiences. He also expressed that this is a good opportunity to promote the
opportunities that the education sphere has, especially that of professional education, in order to realize the skills and innovation of our students. We are working through the education to promote a healthy and educated youth, with competences and skills that tomorrow will be the carriers of the transition processes of our country. This because we have an intelligent youth that deserves to have this education and professional training of European level said minister Bajrami. In addition, the Minister said that Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is doing a strategic reevaluation of the educational programs regarding the employment market. Whereas, the Director of the Education Department within the Municipality of Prishtina, Mrs. Arberie Nagavci in her speech at the opening ceremony said: The Municipality of Prishtina is continuously supporting the Professional High Schools in raising their quality by creating conditions for a qualitative education. The interest of pupils to register in the Professional Schools has been rising positively, and from the last year the requests of pupils to register in such schools has provided high results and success. There are seven Professional Schools from the Municipality of Prishtina participating in this fair, and these schools are going to be visited from the 9 th grade pupils of primary schools to see from a closer perspective the work that is being done in such schools. It is worth mentioning that this is the third year that the Education Fair has an outstanding collaboration with the Department of Education within the Municipality of Prishtina. This collaboration aimed to raise the awareness of students by informing them on the different opportunities for further education.
