SAUSAGE TREE CAMP Founded in 1996 as Zambia s most luxurious bush camp, located within the exclusive Lower Zambezi National Park (LZNP), Zambia, Sausage Tree Camp, has redefined the safari experience and become the benchmark for Zambian bush chic. The camp, named after the sausage shaped fruit in the giant Sausage Trees, was awarded Best Location in Africa at the Good Safari Guide Awards and rated No. 1 by the BBC s holiday program s 10 best luxury resorts of the world. The camp has a privileged location within the natural beauty of the protected Lower Zambezi National Park with it s abundance of wildlife. Sausage Tree Camp has no boundaries and is ideally placed in the heart of the LZNP, where the animals are free to wander straight through and around the camp making the comfort of your tent the ideal wildlife viewing sanctuary. Sausage Tree Camp hosts a maximum of eighteen guests, accommodated in seven Luxury Suites dotted discreetly along the riverbank. Each Luxury Suite is a spacious island of cool minimalist style serviced by a Muchinda (private butler). Having fallen in love with the beauty and game of the Lower Zambezi area in 1996 while helping to build Sausage Tree Camp, Jason decided to stay becoming a qualified guide, then manager and finally achieving his dream of making it his own in 2000. He now enjoys sharing his love and passion with his wife and two children.
