Buenos Aires Mendoza Suggested Itinerary 11 Days / 8 Nights PLEASE NOTE: Actual sequence and timing of activities will revolve around your concert schedule. All times are approximate and may vary according to flight schedules and other logistical factors. ALL MUSICAL ACTIVITIES ARE HIGHLIGHTED IN RED. Day 1 Depart USA Board your overnight flight to cosmopolitan Buenos Aires, Argentina s political, economic, and cultural capital, arriving at Ezeiza International Airport the next morning. Likely connection en route. Dinner and Breakfast served aloft. Day 2 Buenos Aires Morning Arrival at Buenos Aires' Ezeiza International Airport. Buenos Aires is a world-class city of some 10 million people, located on the shores of the Río de la Plata, adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean. The sophistication of this city is evident in the abundant presence of elegant mansions and other buildings constructed in the appealing turn-of-thecentury French Beaux Arts style of architecture. Its many leafy parks, graced by dramatic and imposing statues, are reminiscent of European capitals, such as Paris, Rome or Madrid. Buenos Aires' wide and busy boulevards, some as many as twelve lanes across, project the metropolis' energy, drive, and fast pace. Its never-ending supply of cafes, restaurants, and other entertainment options, speak of the city's appreciation of a certain joie-de-vivre. Buenos Aires has a rich musical life and tradition, most famous of which is found in the Tango song and dance genre. In addition to numerous Tango dinner dance performances, nearly every night there is a wide selection of both choral and instrumental concerts to choose from, performed by skilled musicians in beautiful venues that are rich in character and culturally significant.

Greeting by your highly-qualified Tour Manager. The Tour Managers we select are chosen for their high-energy and commitment to customer satisfaction. For the duration of your stay, your Tour Manager will be coordinating and managing all of your scheduled activities and will be available to you on a 24-hour basis should you need special assistance. City Sightseeing Tour Plaza de Mayo Casa Rosada Ave. 9 de Julio Commence a three-hour city sightseeing tour giving you an overview of Buenos Aires' history and culture as seen through its neighborhoods and historical landmarks. Tentative itinerary includes the Plaza de Mayo (historical heart of the city), the Casa Rosada (presidential palace), Palace of Congress, the Teatro Colón (renowned opera house), Avenida Nueve de Julio (a ten-lane wide avenue), and the Obelisk (reminiscent of the Washington Monument). The delightful neighborhoods of La Boca and San Telmo (birthplace of the Tango), Palermo (with wide boulevards, leafy parks, and extravagant monuments) and Recoleta (highlighted by the cemetery featuring opulent mausoleums where "Evita" Perón is buried) will be featured. After completing your tour you will understand why Buenos Aires is compared to many European cities. Arrive at your Three-Star Hotel for check-in. Lunch on your own. Welcome Dinner at a nice restaurant (this meal is included in your tour program). Day 3 Buenos Aires Morning Teatro Colón (Opera House) Guided Tour Transfer to the Teatro Colón, one of the world's most important opera houses, for a guided tour of this marvelous facility. The Colón was completed in 1908 representing the ambitions of Buenos Aires growing elite families to emulate the style of the finest cities of Europe. The theater s magnificent performance hall, La Sala, has seating for an audience of 2,478. Host to performances by some of the world s finest performing groups, the Colón is Buenos Aires most-valued cultural treasure.

Suggestion: Free time to visit Avenida Santa Fé - Buenos Aires' premier shopping street with 35 blocks of Boutiques and Shopping Gallerias with the latest European fashions at reasonable prices. Arte Decorativo Bellas Artes MALBA Those with more of a cultural / history interest should visit the fine museums of Recoleta and nearby areas, such as the Museo de Bellas Artes (fine arts museum), Museo de Arte Decorativo (housed in a beautiful early 20th-century French style mansion) or the Casa Rosada Presidential Palace for a guided tour. The Museo Evita is small but captures the essence of Evita Peron's enormous impact on Argentine history. CONCERT PERFORMANCE EVENT # 1 Day 4 Buenos Aires Morning & Paseo Recoleta Artisans Market On weekends venture to the Paseo Recoleta Artisans Market for lots of bargains on hand-made leather and other goods at one of the hundreds of stalls staffed by the artisans themselves. Located in the upscale Recoleta neighborhood, this market is one of Buenos Aires favorite shopping pastimes with an unsurpassed variety of items at attractive prices.

Tango Dinner Show & Lessons Enjoy one of Buenos Aires' cozy and elegant dinner theatres, reminiscent of the early 20 th century. Dine on delicious Argentine beef or other delicacy as you are entertained by perfectly-groomed and fashionably-attired Tango dancers performing the traditional dance with its distinctive dramatic movements. A wonderful musical experience! Day 5 La Plata Lunch on your own. Depart to La Plata, the planned city of 500,000 people located 35 miles south of Buenos Aires. Visit to the City of La Plata Upon arriving in La Plata, enjoy an overview of the points of interest of this city, which is the capital of the Province of Buenos Aires. La Plata was built as a planned city on a grid pattern of roads intersected by diagonal avenues dotted by plazas and small parks. Highlight is the magnificent La Plata Cathedral facing Plaza Moreno in the center of town. It is the largest neo-gothic cathedral in Latin America and was only completed in the late 1990s after a 100-year construction effort. Ride the elevator up one of the cathedral spires for a great view of La Plata s historic buildings, plazas and monuments. Early Dinner at a local restaurant (this meal is included in your tour program). CONCERT PERFORMANCE EVENT # 2

Day 6 Buenos Aires Morning & Pampas Ranch Day Depart in your private motorcoach for an exciting visit to an authentic Argentine "estancia" (cattle ranch). Experience the life of the "gauchos" (cowboys) through roping demonstrations, rides on horse-driven carts plus folklore dancing and singing. Highlight of your visit is a traditional Argentine "asado" (barbecue) featuring delicious cuts of world-famous Argentine beef grilled over an open pit. Dinner on own. Day 7 Buenos Aires Mendoza Check out of Hotel and transfer to Buenos Aires' "Aeroparque" domestic airport for your flight to Mendoza, located at the foothills of the Andes Mountains, and one of Argentina's most important cities. Flight arrives in Mendoza. Mendoza, Argentina's fourth-largest city with nearly a million people, is located near the foothills of the Andes Mountains and is at the heart of Argentina's most important wine-producing region. Originally settled as part of the Spanish colony of nearby Chile, Mendoza went on to become part of the Cordoba Intendencia and of modern-day Argentina after independence from Spain in 1810. Mendoza has several beautiful parks and plazas that are very pleasant and relaxing with several of them having interesting museums and monuments depicting the city's history back to colonial times, plus other attractions. The most popular activities are visits to some of the local wineries, situated amongst picturesque vineyards and featuring cellars with huge oak barrels, plus excursions along the Alta Montaña mountain route for breathtaking views of the highest mountains in the western and southern hemispheres (only the Himalayas are taller). Transfer to your Three-Star Hotel for check-in Dinner at a local restaurant (this meal is included in your tour program).

Day 8 Mendoza Morning & City Sightseeing Tour Board your private motorcoach for a full-afternoon tour of Mendoza's historic and present-day sights with your bilingual guide. The main attractions within Mendoza's city limits are its parks and plazas. View Plaza Independencia, a large open space occupying four city blocks that has many beautiful trees, monuments and fountains, with many of Mendoza's most important buildings on its edge, including the Colegio Nacional Agustín Álvarez, the Teatro Independencia, and the Provincial Legislature. Go on to Plaza España, widely regarded as the city's most beautiful plaza featuring benches adorned with ceramic tiles, and paths lined with lush trees and shrubs. Plaza Italia, with its monuments dedicated to Mendoza's large population of Italian descent plus the city's history museum, the Museo del Pasado Cuyano, are the next stops. Continue on to the Museo del Area Fundacional, built on the original settlement of the city, which gives a glimpse into colonial-era Mendoza. Finish your tour at the Parque General San Martín, one of the most beautiful parks in Argentina, with several landmark structures, including an amphitheatre, meteorological observatory, the university campus, and an imposing monument to the Army of the Andes, built in 1914. Dinner on your own at a nearby restaurant. CONCERT PERFORMANCE EVENT # 4 Day 9 Mendoza

Continue to Los Penitentes, passing through narrow canyons, close to the Cerro del Burro and Cerro División to the south and Cerro Tigre to the north. The mountain faces, adorned with red, green, and yellow-striped rocks, make for enchanting views.
