1 Commodore s Report Robert Murphy JANJJan Oct 2018 2015 **Note** The December Awards Dinner has been changed to December 12 th!! Please update your calendars with this new date. After a summer of cruising and travel, summer feels like it has come to an end. As I write this the forecast has switched over to more rain than actual sunshine. Fall season is here and it's time to break out the rain jackets and make use of those enclosed flybridges. From all the reports, the Kingston cruise over Labor Day was a success. I want to thank cruise captains Laura, Paul, Joyce, Kevin, Colleen & Jerry (with a good dose of help from Steve & Linda) for putting everything together. Good cruises take preparation. candidates and ballot is attached. If there are any new individuals looking to run for the board or bridge please let myself and Bob Josephson know. 2019 SLATE OF OFFICERS COMMODORE VICE COMMODORE REAR COMMODORE SECRETARY TREASURER FLEET CAPTAIN BILL TRAVER ADRIENNE DAHLIN TED GROSS CRAIG CAYTON LINDELL GRAHAM GARRY MOORE COLLEEN ZITKOVOCH Coming up in two short weeks is the Poulsbo Cruise on October 12th-14th. Poulsbo is our favorite cruise of the year and is a great excuse to roam the shops in Poulsbo and buy donuts! This year because we will be boat-less we will have to attend the cruise by car for the first time. This should definitely be a new experience. There is still time to reach out to Garry Moore for reservations. Elections will be at the General Meeting on the 17th this month. The slate of JANET JOSEPHSON RICH TREMAGLIO SHARON MOORE KATIE JEPPESEN STEPHEN LILLIE ECHO TREMAGLIO DAVID MORTON

2 Vice Commodore s Report Bill Traver Thank you to everyone that helped clean up the club during our Fall Work Party. We were able to get a lot done with a small budget and very few members helping out. We are hoping we can get more members to turn out in the future to help keep our club looking good. Rear Commodore s Report Adrienne Dahlin Happy Fall Y all! With football season in full swing, we do not have any social events on the calendar for October. Also, we will not have a guest speaker for our October General Meeting due to the elections. I do hope that everyone can save the date for our Cruise & Social Planning Meeting on November 28 th. This is a great opportunity to share your opinion on what activities you d like to see in 2019. You can even volunteer to host an event!

3 Fleet Captain s Report Garry Moore It has been a good year for cruises. We have had seven cruises this year starting last March in Edmonds to Labor Day in Kingston. I want to thank all of the cruise captains for all of their work in making all of these cruises a success. We still have two more cruises this year: Poulsbo Pool and Dart Tournament October 12th to 14th Cruise Captains: Rich & Echo / Sharon & Garry The cruise is always one of our most popular. Rich and Echo will again provide their culinary expertise for a great Italian dinner for Saturday night. The highlight of Saturday will be the annual Pool and Dart Tournament at the Brass Kraken Pub. We have 14 boats signed up for the cruise. We still have slips available so please contact me (gmoorepsyc@gmail.com) if you plan on bringing your boat. We also have six members planning on attending by car, so don t think you have to bring your boat to enjoy all of the activities. Bell Harbor Holiday Cruise December 7th to 9th Cruise Captains: Cindy & Bob / Gary & Donna The final cruise of the year is the highlight of the Club s holiday activities in December. We will be back again at Bell Harbor in the heart of the Seattle waterfront. You need to contact Bell Harbor Marina to reserve your slip for the cruise. Activities will include a dinner at a local downtown restaurant on Friday night followed by attending the Fifth Avenue play of Annie. Please contact Cindy Josephson (joseycc@aol.com or 425-765- 0379) to make sure you are included in Friday night s events, Saturday night will include dinner at a local restaurant and a gift exchange that is great fun. Please also let Cindy know if you are going to attend Saturday night. Sunshine Report Sharon Moore At our last Club Meeting I showed everyone the customized personal tapestry blanket which has our Puget Sound Club logo on it which we received from a company working out of Newark, NJ. This is a customized 50 x 60, machine washable, cotton based (80% cotton, 20% acrylic) blanket which is made in the USA and are 100% hand inspected. We need 10 orders for the blanket before I can place an order. So far, I have 4 orders but need 6 more. The blanket costs $125.00 and for an extra $10.00 you can add your boat name on the blanket. If you are interested, please call me at 425-246-6771 to place an order. Thanks, Sharon Moore, Ship Store
