We begin early this morning in Charlottetown and stop to pick up passengers in Aulac, Salisbury, Lincoln and Woodstock, along the way. Transfers are available from Halifax, Dartmouth, Truro and Saint John. We will stop for lunch at Acorn Restaurant (not included) in Lake George, NB. Your Tour Director will help pass the time with games and entertainment on the coach. This evening we will check in to our host hotel, the Hampton Inn Portsmouth Central. Saturday, October 19 th Day 2 NYC & Board the Norwegian Dawn Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet your Tour Director. This morning we will depart for New York City with rest breaks along the way. Arrive at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal early this afternoon and board the Norwegian Dawn for your 14-day Southern Caribbean Cruise. Once on board you are free to explore and get acquainted with the ship. This evening we will set sail from Manhattan at 4:00 pm. Join your Tour Director and fellow travellers for dinner this evening or feel free to check out the more than 10 dining options on board. Be sure to head to the Stardust Theatre this evening for the Welcome Aboard show which provides an overview of the great entertainment you will find on board over the next several days. Wednesday, October 23 rd Day 6 Oranjestad, Aruba (10 am to 7 pm) Incredibly white sands and cobalt blue seas make the small island of Aruba a popular destination. In the bustling freeport town of Oranjestad, sherbetcoloured Dutch colonial buildings, draped in bougainvillea, oleander and hibiscus are simply picturesque. Small, but informative museums relate the island's history. Oranjestad is home to some of Aruba's residents as well as many governmental buildings; Fort Zoutman & Historical Museum is the island's oldest building. Thursday, October 24 th Day 7 Willemstad, Curacao (8 am to 5 pm) Walk around this quaint harbour town and you will think you have travelled back in time to Old Amsterdam. You may choose to admire the colourful Dutch architecture and take advantage of the excellent shopping or relax on 17-century veranda with a drink made with the famous Curacao liqueur. Curacao's consistent climate makes its warm waters ideal for diving, snorkelling and other water sports year-round. Friday, October 25 th Day 8 Kralendijk, Bonaire (8 am to 2 pm) Speak Papiamentu? That's OK. English and Dutch are also used in Kralendijk, the capital of Bonaire, an island nestled in the Caribbean Netherlands. This spot offers an abundance of water activities from coral reef diving to kayaking, catamaran sailing and 4X4 safari adventures. Saturday, October 26 th Day 9 St. George s, Grenada (11 am to 6 pm) The capital of Grenada is as foot-friendly a city as they come. In the heart of the city is bustling Market Square. Once used for slave trading and political rallies, today you'll find farmers and vendors selling the fruits of their labour - literally. From fresh, local produce, herbs and spices such as nutmeg, ginger and cocoa to original arts & crafts. There's also no shortage of history here. Built in 1704 by the French, Grenada's National Museum is one of the oldest structures in town. Then there's historic Anglican Church constructed in 1825. If you prefer discovering treasures of a tropical kind, you'll find the perfect little paradise at St. George's Harbour. Sunday, October 27 th Day 10 Bridgetown, Barbados (8 am to 5 pm) The most British of all the Caribbean islands, games of cricket are as common here as the typical island water sports. Visit the third-oldest Parliament in the entire Commonwealth. Stroll the inviting beaches of Carlisle Bay, tour a rum factory, or visit the historical Garrison area. Bridgetown is the only city outside continental North America that George Washington visited. The George Washington House, the actual house where he stayed, is now part of the Garrison Historic Area. Monday, October 28 th Day 11 Castries, St. Lucia (8 am to 5 pm) Castries is the main city of St. Lucia and is known for its abundant shopping options and Duty-free shops. A mecca for outdoor enthusiasts with thriving coral reefs and rain forest preserves. Explore the world's only drive-in volcanic crater at Sulfur Springs. Visit the Diamond Botanical Gardens and Falls and the Morne Coubaril Estate. Tuesday, October 29 th Day 12 Basseterre, St. Kitts (8 am to 5 pm) Basseterre is one of the oldest towns in the Eastern Caribbean with the tallest mountain in the Lesser Antilles, La Grande Soufriere. Black rocks and black sand are a hallmark of its volcanic past. Although founded by the French in 1627, St. Kitts is a very British paradise where cricket and tea are the norm. The dramatic mixed island landscape is rimmed in goldsand beaches and dotted with well-preserved plantations left over from when the island was covered with sugar cane. Wednesday, October 30 th Day 13 St. Thomas, USVI (7 am to 1 pm) The town of Charlotte Amalie has one of the most breathtaking harbours in the world. Once home to pirates of long ago, today visitors find treasures of a different kind, for now beautiful beaches and bountiful duty-free shopping are truly its claim to fame. After disembarking the Norwegian Dawn we will gather our luggage and board our motor coach to travel to Portsmouth, NH. We will stop for rest breaks and lunch along the way. Arrive at our host hotel, the Hampton Inn Portsmouth Central. Once we check in you are free to explore nearby shops and restaurants or relax in the hotel. The hotel shuttle can provide transportation to nearby locations. Overnight: Hampton Inn Portsmouth Central (B) Sunday, November 3 rd Day 17 Home Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet with your Tour Director. Check out of the hotel and begin our journey home.
