Organization Body of Japanese National Committee of PIARC Name: Japan Road Association (JRA) JRA consists of 5,752 Individual members and 1,627 Collective members Chair: Mr. Kotaro HASHIMOTO President of JRA
JNC (Japanese National Committee) JNC (Japanese National Committee) is established within JRA Members of JNC are from both public sector and private sector JNC holds meetings frequently (Activities are described later)
Number of PIARC members in Japan 37 Individual members 35 collective members 1 regional authority * Japan Road Association provide the secretariat for the Japanese National Committee of PIARC
Nomination of TC members from Japan Japan is represented in 15 of 17 Technical Committees, SPC and TED-Com with 40 delegates. Japan is also contributing as ST-B Coordinator (Mr. INOUE), Chair of TC-C3 (Dr. OKAHARA), TC-D3 (Dr. KASHIMA)

Routine Activities JNC works to support Vice President and TC members JNC conducts PR activities on PIARC through JRA s magazine Doro ( Doro is a Japanese word which means Road) (Doro is published 10,000 copies, monthly)
Technical Standards Setting JRA sets technical standards for Japan JNC provides valuable cutting-edge technology and information from PIARC to Japanese standards setting
Support the activity of TC JNC organize the meetings consist of the Japanese members of each TC to support the activities of each TC JNC holds a seminar to share the knowledge and activities of each TC
Support the activity of TC collaborating with JICA JNC supports holding an International seminar at overseas collaborating with JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency )
